Emission Control System Warranty Statement
(Owner's Defect Warranty Rights and Obligations)
TheU.S.EPAand CubCadetarepleasedtoexplainthe emissionscontrolsystemwarrantyon yourmodelyear2005andlatersmalloff-road
engine.Newsmalloff-roadenginesmustbedesigned,builtandequippedto meetthe stringentanti-smogstandards.CubCadetmustwarrantythe
emissioncontrolsystemon yourenginefor the periodof timelistedbelow,providedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglector impropermaintenanceof
yoursmalloff-roadengine.
Youremissioncontrolsystemmayincludepartssuchasthecarburetor,aircleaner,ignitionsystem,exhaustsystem,andotherassociatedemis-
sion-relatedcomponents.
Wherea warrantableconditionexists,CubCadetwill repairyoursmalloff-roadengineatnocosttoyourincludingdiagnosis,partsandlabor.
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY COVERAGE:
Thisemissionscontrolsystemiswarrantedfor twoyears.If anyemission-relatedpart onyourengineis defective,the part will berepairedor
replacedby CubCadet.
OWNER'S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asthesmalloff-roadengineowner,youare responsibleforthe performanceof the requiredmaintenancelistedinyour Owner'sManual.CubCadet
recommendsthatyou retainall yourreceiptscoveringmaintenanceson yoursmalloff-roadengine,but CubCadetcan notdenywarrantysolelyfor
thelackof receiptsor foryourfailureto ensurethe performanceto allscheduledmaintenance.
Asthesmalloff-roadengineowner,youshouldhoweverbeawarethat CubCadetmaydenyyourwarrantycoverageif your smalloff-roadengineor
parthasfailedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermaintenanceor unapprovedmodifications.
Youare responsibleforpresentingyour lawnmowerto CubCadetLLC'sdistributioncenterorservicecenteras soonas the problemexists.The
warrantyrepairsshouldbecompletedin a reasonableamountof time,nottoexceed30 days.Ifyouhavea questionregardingyourwarrantycover-

DEFECTS WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS FOR 1995 AND LATER SMALL OFF-ROAD ENGINES:
Thissectionappliesto 1995andlater smalloff-roadengines.The warrantyperiodbeginsonthe datetheengineor equipmentisdeliveredtoan
ultimatepurchaser.
(a) GeneralEmissionsWarrantyCoverag_e_
CubCadetmustwarrantto the ultimatepurchaserandeach subsequentpurchaserthattheengineis:
(1)Designed,built,andequippedsoas to conformwithallapplicableregulationsadoptedby the AirResourcesBoardpursuantto itsauthorityin
Chapters1and2,Part5, Division26of theHealthandSafetyCode;and
(2) Freefromdefectsin materialsandworkmanshipthatcausethefailureof a warrantedpart to beidenticalin all materialrespectstothepartas
describedin theenginemanufacturer'sapplicationfor certificationfora periodof twoyears.
(b)Thewarrantyonemissions-relatedpartswill be interpretedasfollows:
(1)Anywarrantedpart thatis not scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenanceinthe writteninstructionsrequiredby Subsection(c)
mustbewarrantedfor the warrantyperioddefinedinSubsection(a)(2). Ifany suchpartfailsduringthe periodof warrantycoverage,it mustbe
repairedor replacedby CubCadetaccordingto Subsection(4) below.Anysuchpart repairedor replacedunderthewarrantymustbewarranted
fortheremainingwarrantyperiod.
(2)Anywarrantedpartthat isscheduledonlyfor regularinspectioninthe writteninstructionsrequiredby Subsection(c) must bewarrantedfor
thewarrantyperioddefinedin Subsection(a)(2).A statementinsuchwritteninstructionsto the effectof "repairor replaceas necessary"will
notreducethe periodof warrantycoverage.Anysuchpart repairedor replacedunderwarrantymustbe warrantedforthe remainingwarranty
period.
(3) Anywarrantedpartthat whichisscheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenancein thewritteninstructionsrequiredbySubsection(c)
mustbewarrantedfor the periodd timepriorto the first scheduledreplacementpointforthat part.Ifthepart failspriorto thefirst scheduled
replacement,the part mustbe repairedor replacedby Cub Cadetaccordingto Subsection(4)below.Anysuchpartrepairedor replacedunder
warrantymustbewarrantedfor the remainderof the periodpriorto the first scheduledreplacementpointfor the part.
(4) Repairor replacementofanywarrantedpartunderthewarrantyprovisionsof thisarticlemustbe performedat nochargeto the ownerata
warrantystation.
(5) Notwithstandingtheprovisionsof Subsection(4)above,warrantyservicesor repairsmustbe providedat allCub Cadetdistributioncenters
thatarefranchisedto servicethe subjectengines.
(6) Theownermustnotbechargedfor diagnosticlaborthatleadstothedeterminationthata warrantedpart is in factdefective,providedthat
suchdiagnosticworkisperformedat a warrantystation.
