What to do if food is overcooked in my Mueller AeroHeat MT-275X Oven?
    • C
      Christopher ObrienAug 17, 2025
If your food is consistently overcooked or undercooked in the Mueller Oven, adjust the oven temperature or cooking time. Because the toaster oven is smaller than a regular oven, it may heat up and cook faster. Try lowering the temperature approximately 25 degrees from the suggested temperature in a recipe. Also, consider using a different oven rack position for cooking the food.

If your Mueller Oven isn't heating, make sure all three settings (function, temperature, and timer) are properly adjusted. The oven will not start working unless all three are set. Also, check that the power outlet is working correctly.

Why is there smoke coming from my Mueller AeroHeat MT-275X?

If you notice smoke or a burnt food odor when using your Mueller Oven, several factors could be the cause. During the initial start-up, a minimal smell and smoke (lasting about 15 minutes) can occur due to a protective substance on the heating elements. If the Baking Pan or the interior of the oven is dirty, or if there are food remnants in the Crumb Tray or on the oven walls, this can also cause smoke. In this case, you should refer to the “CLEANING AND STORAGE” section of this manual. Also, smoke almost always appears during broiling, which is normal; cutting off excess fat prior to broiling can help reduce it. If the smoke source is the power cord, stop using the appliance and unplug it immediately. If you use your toaster oven several times in a row, the additional items may be browner...
