Overview

MÜHLER MLC-6050P Pressure Multicooker

The MÜHLER MLC-6050P is a versatile electric pressure multicooker designed for household use, offering a range of cooking functions and safety features. With a power output of 1000-1200W and operating on 220-240V~, 50/60 Hz, this appliance boasts a 6L capacity, making it suitable for preparing meals for families.

Function Description

The MLC-6050P offers extensive functional diversification, allowing users to prepare various dishes with ease. Its primary functions include:

  • Steaming rice and cooking congee: Ideal for perfectly cooked grains.
  • Baking cakes: Provides a dedicated program for baking.
  • Frying and heating/frying: Allows for sautéing and browning ingredients.
  • Steak/beef making: Optimized for preparing meat dishes.
  • Pizza and soup cooking: Versatile for different meal types.
  • Steam heating and general cooking: Broad utility for various recipes.

A key feature is its automatic operation: once a menu is selected, the pressure cooker proceeds to finish the work autonomously. Upon completion of cooking, a buzzer sounds, and the appliance automatically transitions to a "Keep Warm" mode, maintaining food temperature between 65°C and 75°C for up to 24 hours.

The multicooker also offers a "Taste Selection" feature, allowing users to choose between "Light," "Standard," and "Rich" flavors for most functions, adjusting cooking parameters accordingly. A "Pre-set" function enables delayed cooking for up to 24 hours, with time adjustments available in 5-minute increments.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Model: MLC-6050P
  • Power: 1000-1200W
  • Voltage: 220-240V~
  • Frequency: 50/60 Hz
  • Protection Class: I
  • Volume: 6L

The appliance is equipped with several safety mechanisms:

  • Protective device for pot cover: Ensures safe opening and closing. If the pot cover and inner pot contact is poor, high pressure will not form, and the lid cannot be opened under high pressure.
  • Pressure regulator: Automatically activates a relief valve if pressure exceeds the maximum allowable value.
  • Discharge pressure component: Releases air along the pot cover edge to reduce pressure and prevent explosions if the pressure regulator fails.
  • Temperature limit component: Automatically cuts off power if the inner pot is empty or temperature exceeds the limit during cooking.

Usage Features

  1. Opening the Lid: Hold the lid handle, rotate clockwise to the stop, and then lift the pot cover.
  2. Inner Pot Preparation: Before first use, clean the inner pot with warm water. Ensure the inner pot and heating plate are free of dirt before cooking. Slightly rotate the inner pot to ensure it fits the heating plate correctly.
  3. Food and Water Volume: The total volume of food and water should not exceed 3/5 of the inner pot's height. For harder foods (e.g., chicken or mutton) with less water, the total volume should not exceed 4/5. The minimum volume of food should be at least 1/5 of the inner pot's height. When steaming rice, do not exceed 12 cups of rice; a 1:1 rice-to-water ratio is generally recommended, adjustable to personal preference.
  4. Closing the Lid: Ensure the silicone gasket is undamaged and the internal aluminum plate rotates freely. Place the lid and turn the handle anticlockwise until a jamming sound is heard.
  5. Discharge Pressure Valve: Remove the silver label from the discharge pressure valve to ensure it can move freely.
  6. Water Storage Box: Place the water storage box into the pressure cooker as shown in the manual.
  7. Standby Mode: After plugging in, the appliance beeps, and 5 indicator lights flash, indicating standby mode.
  8. Program Selection: Choose a program (e.g., Rice, Soup, Cake, Hot Pot, Steam, Porridge, Chicken/Lobster, Beef/Mutton, Fish, Stew, Frozen Meat, Heating/Fry, Pork, Yogurt) from the control panel.
  9. Time and Taste Adjustment: Adjust cooking time using the "+" or "-" buttons. Select taste preferences (Light, Standard, Rich) if available for the chosen program.
  10. Pre-set Function: Use the "Pre-set" button to delay cooking for up to 24 hours.
  11. Keep Warm/Cancel: Press this button to switch to standby mode during operation or to activate the 24-hour thermal insulation mode from standby.

Maintenance Features

  1. Cleaning: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
  2. Pot Cover and Components: Clean the pot cover, including the gasket, discharge pressure valve, filter, vent hole, ball float valve, and floater, with a duster cloth.
  3. Housing: Wipe the pressure cooker's housing with a soft cloth. Do not immerse the pressure cooker, electric wire, or power plug in water or any other liquid.
  4. Inner Pot: Empty the water from the inner pot and clean it with soapy water. Use a soft brush or non-metallic brush to clean the inner pot, then wipe with a cloth.
  5. Discharge Pressure Valve and Vent Hole: Clean these components with a soft brush to ensure steam can pass freely during cooking.
  6. Avoid Abrasives: Never use metal utensils, abrasive cleaners, or chemical cleaners on the inner pot or the appliance, as this can cause damage.
  7. Storage: After cooling, the pressure cooker can be cleaned and stored.
  8. Repairs: Users should not attempt to repair parts themselves. For warranty issues, contact the maintenance center or manufacturer.
