We supply two dierent types of headrest, the YLVA and the TOMMY.
YLVA
This must be used for forward facing children when they come out of the Minimac, and is
compulsory from ages 15 months – 6 years, and is also recommended from 6 years to 12 years,
in conjuncon with the EMILY back pad.
To comply with R129, the YLVA now incorporates an energy-absorbing FIGGE rear cushion,
which aaches to the YLVA with press-studs so it is height adjustable, to be directly behind
the child’s head. It is tethered to the YLVA with a permanent strap, so it cannot be removed.
TOMMY
The TOMMY is like a tradional car headrest,
and can only be used for children older than 6,
and adults. For children it should only be used
in the 2 outer seats when the sloping roof of
low-slung sports saloons prevents the YLVA
being used.
