Thank you for choosing a Munchkin safety gate to help protect your family. Your gate stays in place by creating pressure between two opposing surfaces.
Any misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, accident or alteration of the gate, as well as removal or alteration of its serial number, invalidates any and all claims against the manufacturer.
Children have died or been seriously injured when gates are not securely installed. Always install and use gates as directed using all required parts.

Ensure the gate is installed between two structurally sound surfaces for maximum security.
Measure the width of the opening at the narrowest point between walls before installation.
Remove plugs from the gate side, insert extension adapters, and reinsert plugs with adjustment rods.
Temporarily place the gate, trace wall cup positions, then drill and attach cups to walls.
Extend adjustment rods until they reach the walls and are seated inside the cups.
Push the button on top of the handle with your thumb, then squeeze the trigger on the handle's underside.
Push the gate door closed until it clicks for the easy-close feature.
Lower the adjustable swing guard arm into its locked position on the opposite side of the gate from the stairs or occupied side.
Use mild soap and wipe with a damp cloth. Do not wash or wipe stickers, as this voids the warranty.
Munchkin, Inc.'s safety gates include a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
