Why is my Murray Tiller engine difficult to start?
- WWilliam ThomasJul 30, 2025
A difficult-to-start Murray Tiller engine can stem from several causes. It might be due to a stale fuel mixture, in which case you should drain the fuel tank and refill it with a fresh fuel mixture. Alternatively, there might be too much oil in the fuel mixture; check the fuel mixture chart and prepare a fresh mix. Other potential issues include dirt in the fuel tank (clean the fuel tank), a fouled spark plug (clean and set the spark plug gap), or a dirty air filter (clean and oil the air filter).
