• Some NAS devices with a built in UPnP server have a power saving feature that can
be configured to spin down the hard drives after a period of inactivity. When the
drives spin down the content usually becomes unavailable even thought the UPnP
server is still running. This setting is sometimes referred to as a ‘power saving’ mode
and is normally best disabled for most reliable UPnP support.
