From Settings, the handset operation related to Java™ applications can be changed:
Set permissions Sets the network access permission. Refer to Set permissions on page
80.
Settings Sets the handset operation settings related to Java™ applications. Refer
to Settings on page 80.
Item Description
About Displays information on the selected file.
Edit name Edits the name of the highlighted application. A maximum of 64 single-byte
characters can be entered.
Add link Add to Home: Adds a shortcut of the selected application to the Home
screen area.
Add to Quick Menu: Adds a shortcut of the selected application to the
Quick menu.
Item Description
Internet access Selects the handset reaction to a Java™ application requesting to connect
to the network.
Ask every time: Every time the application requests to connect to the
network, a confirmation message is required to permit access or not.
Ask on start only: A confirmation message to permit access or not is
required only once at each activation of the application.
Always permitted: Network access requested by Java™ application is
always permitted.
Not permitted: Network access requested by Java™ application is never
permitted.
