FIRST USE:
How to use the toothbrush?
1. Charging the device before fi rst use
Connect the USB cable to a universal power adapter and place the power
cord to the charging plug (4) of the device, for 24 hours for the fi rst use (even
if your toothbrush arrives already charged). The battery level indicator (3) on
the device changes from fl ashing green to a fi xed green when the toothbrush
is fully charged.
Do not operate the toothbrush while it is in charge. Don’t forget to unplug it
to use it. Under normal conditions of use (1 child brushing twice a day for 2
minutes), a full charge allows 1 month of use. When the battery needs to be
recharged, the battery level indicator (3) will fl ash red. A full charge takes about
3 hours.
2. Use of the toothbrush:
Step 1: Brush head set up
Align the brush head so that the bristles are in line
with the front of the handle, then slide it along the
shaft and clip it in place. It is normal for there to
be a small gap between the brush head and the
handle, the gap ensures that the toothbrush head
does not stick to the motor during high frequency
vibration and thus allow the motor to be at the
right power.
To remove it: pull in the axis of the brush and
do not shear the brush, as this can damage the
brush motor.
Step 2: Customise the toothbrush with the child and choose from the
2 modes.
Press the setting button (2) and select the brushing mode (3), that means
the vibrations amplitude that best suits the child’s teeth and gums:
• White light: gentle brushing
• Blue light: extra gentle brushing
Always start with the softest mode and then fi nd the one that best suits the
child’s need. Once the toothbrush has been customised, the chosen setting is
stored in memory. Simply press the ON button (2) once to start brushing.
To stop the toothbrush, press the setting button (2) again for 5 seconds.
Last Step: Toothbrush customization
Add the fi nishing touch with the child by sticking the stickers they like on their
toothbrush.
Step 3: Brushing
Apply the right amount of toothpaste according to the child’s age (see kids
dental hygienist recommendations):
6 months - 3 years old: one trace
4 - 6 years old: dose of toothpaste equivalent to a pea
From 6 years old: dose of toothpaste equivalent to a chickpea
Reminder: You should help your child brush their teeth until they are 6 - 8
years old. Always check that brushing has been done correctly even if the
child is independent.
Before 6 years old: The bristles of his brush are on top of his teeth.
After 6 years old: Position the bristles on the teeth at a slight
angle (45 degrees) to the teeth, along the gum line and press
the On/Off and Mode button (2). For an uniform brushing, divide
the child’s mouth into 4 separate zones and spend 30 seconds
brushing time per zone (4 zones X 30 seconds = 2 minutes).
With Smart Brushing, every 30 seconds, a gentle vibration will tell
you to change the brushing zone.
The NEOKIDS® toothbrush stops automatically after 2 minutes of
brushing cycle, thus complying with the recommendations of dentists
and pedodontists.
Recommendations for sonic electric brushing:
To clean the outer surfaces: Move the brush over the teeth, making
small circles from the gum to the tooth (from pink to white) without exerting
pressure.
To clean the inner surface of the teeth: make several vertical brushings on
each tooth, always from the gum to the tooth.
Continue for the duration of the timer (2 minutes), until the toothbrush stops.
When using a sonic toothbrush for the fi rst time, it is possible to at the
beginning to feel some tickling. This feeling is common and disappears quickly
after several uses.
Our extra advice:
Once the 2-minute brushing cycle is complete, you can go back and insist on
areas prone to stains and cavities, but also on the chewing surfaces of the
teeth and in crannies.
Change the child’s brush head at least every 3 months.
NEOKIDS
®
toothbrushes are equipped with ultra-soft brush heads. Their
rounded TINEX
®
bristles, from the high-quality American brand DUPONT
®
,
are designed to effectively remove plaque and take care of your child’s oral
sensitivity.
From the age of 6 years old you can start educating your child about
interdental cleaning (cleaning the spaces between the teeth) by completing
his brushing once a day with one of our NEOPULSE
®
dental water jets, in
low power (soft), because a tooth has not only 3 sides but 5! Completing the
child’s brushing with a dental water jet helps to limit the risk of interdental
cavities.
As soon as 2 teeth touch each other, complete the brushing every evening
with NEOPICK
®
, an easy-to-use dental fl oss thanks to his handle.
The NEOKIDS
®
toothbrush is safe for orthodontic appliances. The brush
head is likely to wear out more quickly, it is recommended to change it every
2 months.

Step 1: Remove the brush head and rinse the bristles well with warm water
Step 2: Rinse the metal shaft area with warm water
Step 3: Clean the handle with a damp cloth
Step 4: Dry the whole area with a soft, clean towel
