    What to do if Netscout Tablet fails to get an IP address?

      If your Netscout Tablet fails to get an IP address, it might be due to a lack of connectivity to a DHCP server. This could happen if the DHCP server isn't responding. Check the health of the DHCP server. If your analyzer is connected to a trunk port, ensure the selected VLAN connects to an operational DHCP server, or switch to a different VLAN. To switch VLANs: 1. Select the Link Status button to open the OptiView Network Port Settings screen. 2. In the Active VLAN Configuration section, select a VLAN that connects to a DHCP server. 3. Select the OK button.

    How to configure Discovery on Netscout Tablet?

      To ensure successful discovery both on-net and off-net on your Netscout Tablet, it’s critical to configure Discovery. Select the OptiView button (in the upper left corner), then select the OptiView Settings button, and then the Discovery button (at the left side of the screen). To ensure access to the information (SNMP-MIBs) on the devices' SNMP agent, configure the SNMP credentials on the SNMP Configuration tab. Often the devices' SNMP agents are connected to a different subnet than the one to which the OptiView is connected. These SNMP or Management subnets need to be configured on the Extended Discovery Ranges tab. To allow the OptiView to discover networks beyond the subnet to which it is connected, configure the remote subnets for discovery using the Extended Discovery Ranges tab.
