This document is the user manual for the Neue GH701 hob, a built-in gas cooking appliance.
Function Description
The Neue GH701 is a gas hob designed for domestic cooking purposes. It features five gas burners of varying power and size, controlled by individual knobs. The hob is equipped with a thermocouple safety device that interrupts the gas supply if the flame accidentally goes out. It also includes an ignition system for easy lighting of the burners.

Usage Features
Ignition of the burner:
- Push the control knob down and turn it counterclockwise to the maximum gas supply position (indicated by a flame icon with a large flame).
- Keep the control knob pushed for 10 seconds or less to allow the thermocouple to warm up. Releasing too soon will interrupt the gas supply.
- Adjust the flame once it is regular.
- If the burner does not light after several attempts, check if the crown and cap are correctly positioned.
- Do not keep the control knob pushed for more than 15 seconds. If the burner does not light after 15 seconds, release the knob, turn it to the off position, and try again after at least 1 minute.
- In the absence of electricity, the burner can be ignited manually with a flame by turning the control knob counter-clockwise to maximum gas supply position and pushing it down, holding for 10 seconds.
- Always light the burner before placing cookware on it.
Turning the burner off:
- To extinguish the flame, turn the knob to the off position (indicated by a solid black circle).
- Always turn the flame down or switch it off before removing pans from the burner.
Cookware recommendations:
- Use stable cookware with the correct shape and diameter, larger than the burner dimensions.
- Ensure cookware is centrally positioned on the burners.
- Recommended cookware diameters:
- Triple Crown: 180-260 mm
- Rapid: 180-260 mm
- Semi-rapid (rear left): 120-220 mm
- Semi-rapid (front left): 120-180 mm
- Auxiliary: 80-180 mm
- Do not use cast iron pans, potstones, earthenware, grill, or toaster plates as they can tarnish stainless steel if overheated.
- Do not place the same pan on two burners.
- Avoid unstable or damaged pots to prevent spills and injury.
- Ensure pot bottoms do not extend above the control knob to prevent overheating.
- Keep pot handles away from the front edge of the cooktop.
Energy saving tips:
- Ensure burners and pan supports are correctly assembled.
- Use cookware with appropriate diameters.
- Center the pot on the burner.
- Heat only the necessary amount of water.
- Use lids on cookware whenever possible.
- Turn down the flame to barely simmer once liquid starts to boil.
- Consider using a pressure cooker, referring to its user manual.
Maintenance Features
Care and cleaning:
- Clean the hob after each use.
- Deactivate the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before maintenance.
- Do not use water spray or steam cleaners.
- Clean with a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents. Avoid abrasive products, abrasive cleaning pads, solvents, or metal objects.
- Do not clean burners in the dishwasher.
- For enamelled parts, caps, and crowns, wash with warm soapy water and dry carefully.
- Immediately remove melted plastic, plastic foil, and sugary foods to prevent damage.
- Once sufficiently cool, remove limescale rings, water rings, fat stains, and metallic discoloration with a moist cloth and detergent, then rub dry with a soft cloth.
Cleaning the spark plug:
- Keep the ceramic ignition candle and metal electrode clean to ensure easy lighting.
- Check that burner crown holes are not obstructed.
Pan supports:
- Pan supports are not dishwasher safe; wash them by hand.
- Remove pan supports to clean the hob easily.
- Exercise caution when replacing pan supports to prevent damage to the hob top.
- Be careful when washing pan supports due to potentially rough enamel coating edges.
- After cleaning, ensure pan supports are in correct positions and their arms are aligned with the centre of the burner for proper operation.
Periodic maintenance:
- Contact an Authorised Service Centre periodically to check the gas supply pipe and pressure adjuster (if fitted).
Troubleshooting:
- No spark when activating spark generator:
- Possible cause: Hob not connected to electrical supply or connected incorrectly.
- Remedy: Check electrical supply connection.
- Possible cause: Fuse released.
- Remedy: Check fuse; if it repeatedly releases, contact a qualified electrician.
- Flame extinguishes immediately after ignition:
- Possible cause: Burner cap and crown placed incorrectly.
- Remedy: Place burner cap and crown correctly.
- Possible cause: Thermocouple not heated sufficiently.
- Remedy: After lighting, keep the knob pushed for 10 seconds.
- Flame ring is uneven:
- Possible cause: Burner crown blocked with food residues.
- Remedy: Ensure injector is not blocked and burner crown is clean.
Replacement of the connection cable:
- Must be carried out exclusively by a service force centre or personnel with similar competencies.
- Use only H05V2V2-F T90 or equivalent type cable.
- Ensure cable section is appropriate for voltage load and working temperature.
- The yellow/green earth wire must be approximately 2 cm longer than the live and neutral wires.
Injector replacement:
- Remove pan supports, caps, and crowns.
- Use a socket spanner (7) to remove and replace injectors with those suitable for the gas type (refer to "Technical Information" chapter).
- Assemble parts in reverse order.
- Replace the rating plate (near the gas supply pipe) with the one for the new gas supply type.
- If supply gas pressure is changeable or differs from required, fit an applicable pressure adjuster.
Adjustment of minimum level:
- Light the burner.
- Turn the knob to the minimum position.
- Remove the knob.
- Adjust the bypass screw position with a thin screwdriver.
- For natural gas G20 20 mbar to liquid gas: fully tighten the bypass screw.
- For liquid gas to natural gas G20 20 mbar: undo the bypass screw approximately 1/4 of a turn (1/2 of a turn for Triple Crown burner).
- Ensure the flame does not go out when quickly turning the knob from maximum to minimum.
