Congratulations on your purchase of the NEUMI BS5P powered bookshelf speakers!
We have designed these speakers to deliver an engaging listening experience for
both music and movies. Please read these instructions to get the best quality sound
out of your new speakers!
Initial Setup
The BS5P is equipped with an internal amplifier and must be properly connected before it can be
used. Refer to the diagram below and perform the following steps:
1. Install two AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control.
2. Use the included speaker wire to connect the left and right speakers together. Please be
extra careful about the polarity of the connection, going from the positive (+) red connector
from the right speaker to the red connector on the left speaker, and similarly for the negative
(-) black connectors.
3. Plug in the DC power cable on the back of the right speaker.
4. Plug in the AC power cord to a nearby AC outlet.
Note: A reversed speaker wire connection polarity will cause the speakers to lack bass and
sound thin. If something doesn’t sound right, check the speaker connection polarity.
If you are an experienced audio electronics user, this may be all the instructions you need.
However, we strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the rest of this manual to get
the maximum performance and enjoyment from these speakers.
