  If your Night Owl Network video recorder isn't receiving power, ensure the cable from the power adapter is securely connected to the back of the unit and to the power outlet. If it's connected to a power bar or surge protector, try plugging it directly into the wall. Also, make sure the outlet has power by testing it with another device, like a phone charger. The LED indicators on the front of the unit should be ON when powered.

  If there is no picture on selected channels or the camera picture is not being displayed on your Night Owl Network video recorder, check the camera video cable and connections. Disconnect and reconnect the cable at both the system and the camera. You might also try moving the camera to another channel or using a different cable to see if that resolves the issue.

  If your Night Owl Network video recorder beeps during motion detection, go to the General Menu > Alarm, select the channel and turn Buzzer to OFF. This should disable the beeping sound during motion detection.
