Why is there no IR control of the source components on my Niles ZR-8630AV Receiver?
    • M
      Matthew YoungJul 29, 2025
If there is no IR control of the source components, it might be due to interference with the sensors. When using the Niles IRR-4D+ Wall Mount or the Niles TIR-1+ Tabletop IR Sensors, the Status LED should be GREEN when the zone is ON, off when the zone is OFF, and RED when receiving a command. When using the Niles MS-1 or MS-2 IR Sensors, the Status LED should be off when the zone is ON, and GREEN when receiving a command. If the LEDs stay constantly RED (or GREEN when using MS-1 or MS-2), that indicates interference. Try to identify and remove the source of interference, or move the sensor to a place without interference. Common sources include dimmer switches, fan-motor switches, televisions (especially plasma televisions), and sunlight.

How to fix a Niles ZR-8630AV Receiver with no lights on?
    • J
      Joshua BoyleAug 2, 2025
If your Niles Receiver has no lights on, first, check the AC power cord to ensure it's firmly inserted into the receiver's power-cord socket. Next, verify the AC power outlet is working, preferably using an unswitched outlet. If using a switched outlet, confirm that it is switched on and providing power. If you've checked both the cord and the outlet and still have no lights, call Niles for service.
