Why is my Ninja Kitchen appliance hissing and not reaching pressure?

If the unit is hissing and not reaching pressure, ensure the pressure release valve is turned to the SEAL position. Also, press down on the silicone ring to make sure it is fully inserted and lies flat under the ring rack.
