TPMS RESET
The procedure is necessary when:
•
One or more tyre pressures have been adjusted
•
Tyres have been rotated
After the tyre is inflated to the COLD tyre pres-
sure:
1. Make sure the ignition is in the ON position
and the engine is not running.
2. Press button
ja repeatedly until light jc ap-
pears.
3. Push and hold
ja (for at least 3 seconds) until
jc starts flashing together with the SET jd.
Both jc and jd flash 3 times then turn off. The
TPMS indicator light
jb will also turn off.
4. Drive the vehicle for several minutes between 25
(16 MPH) and 100 km/h (64 MPH). The new tyre
pressures and the temperature are stored. The
TPMS is now reset.
NOTE
The TPMS might not reset if one or more of the
following conditions apply:
•
Bad road conditions
•
The TPMS unit doesn’t receive correct data
from tyre pressure sensors
•
Driving below 25 km/h (16 MPH)
•
Driving above 100 km/h (64 MPH)
•
High acceleration
•
High deceleration
•
In stop and go traffic or traffic waves
Driving your vehicle to fit the circumstances is es-
sential for your safety and comfort. As a driver, you
should be the one who knows best how to drive in
the given circumstances.
ENGINE COLD START PERIOD
Due to the higher engine speeds, when the engine
is cold, extra caution must be exercised when se-
lecting a gear during the engine warm-up period
after starting the engine.
LOADING LUGGAGE
Loads and their distribution and the attachment of
equipment (coupling devices, roof baggage carri-
ers, etc.) will considerably change the driving char-
acteristics of the vehicle. Your driving style and
speed must be adjusted according to the circum-
stances.
DRIVING IN WET CONDITIONS
•
Avoid accelerating or stopping suddenly.
•
Avoid sharp turning or lane changing suddenly.
•
Avoid following too close to the vehicle in front.
When water covers the road surface with water
puddles, small water streams, etc., reduce speed to
prevent hydroplaning which can cause skidding and
loss of control. Worn tyres will increase this risk.
DRIVING IN WINTER CONDITIONS
•
Drive cautiously.
•
Avoid accelerating or stopping suddenly.
•
Avoid sharp turning or lane changing suddenly.
