Overview

This document describes the Niteo 710 W Angle Grinder, model AG0021-22, a power tool designed for grinding and cutting metal or stone.

Function Description:

The Niteo 710 W Angle Grinder is primarily used for grinding and cutting metal or stone. For cutting operations, a suitable cutting disk (not included in the product package) must be purchased separately. The device is intended exclusively for domestic use and is not suitable for commercial applications. All individuals operating, maintaining, or transporting the unit must be familiar with this instruction manual and adhere to all technical and safety guidelines.

The vibration value may vary depending on the area of use and can exceed the specified emission value in exceptional situations. Prolonged operation may cause numbness in hands and shoulders. Measures to mitigate vibration include wearing soft gloves, taking breaks, holding the device firmly, and seeking service if vibration levels are high. Noise generated by the device can cause hearing impairment; users should wear ear protectors and take breaks if discomfort occurs. If noise levels are high or unusual, contact service. The device should not be wrapped in fabric to reduce noise, as this can impede ventilation and cause overheating, leading to fire or injury. To minimize respiratory risks, wear a dust mask and ensure good ventilation. For eye protection, wear safety goggles.

Usage Features:

The angle grinder features a disk guard, spindle, lock button, side handle, non-slip rubber lining, power cord with plug, on/off switch with safety device, key/wrench for disk installation, fastening flange, grinding disk (not included), spacing flange, and carbon brushes.

Installation and Removal of Side Handle:

To attach the side handle (4), screw it clockwise into one of the three holes on the tool body until it is tight. To remove or reposition the handle, unscrew it. It is crucial to never operate the tool without the side handle firmly attached.

Installation and Removal of Disk Guard:

Never operate the tool without the disk guard (1) firmly attached.

  1. Place the disk guard (1) on the tool, aligning its tabs with the seats on the tool body so it is parallel to the tool.
  2. Rotate the guard (1) to ensure maximum protection from sparks and debris for the operator.
  3. Tighten the setting screw with a screwdriver.
  4. To remove, reverse steps 1-3.

Assembly and Disassembly of the Disk:

  1. Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power source.
  2. Lay the tool on a flat, stable surface.
  3. Insert the spacing flange (12) onto the spindle (2), ensuring the seat in the flange aligns with the spindle's seat and faces the spindle.
  4. Place the grinding disk (11) on the spacing flange (12).
  5. Insert the fastening (outer) flange (10) onto the spindle (2) and tighten manually. The placement of the fastening flange depends on the disk type:
  • For a flat cutting disk or one with a depressed centerhole, install the flange with the flat side facing the disk (inwards).
  • For a coarse grinding disk with a depressed centerhole, install the flange with the flat side facing outwards.
  1. Press the lock button (3) and tighten the fastening flange (9) with the wrench (10).
  2. To remove the disk, reverse these steps. Always disconnect the device from the mains before installing or removing a disk.

Turning the Device On/Off:

  1. Ensure all components are correctly installed and tightened.
  2. Connect the device to a power source.
  3. Hold the tool firmly with one hand on the main grip and the other on the side handle (4).
  4. To start, press and slide the on/off switch with the safety device (8) upwards towards the grinding disk (11). The disk will begin to rotate.
  5. To lock the switch in the "on" position, press the upper part of the switch while it is slid upwards.
  6. To turn off, press the on/off switch (8) and slide it downwards, then disconnect the tool from the mains. Caution: After turning off, the grinding disk will continue to rotate due to inertia. Exercise caution.

Operating Tips:

  1. Before each use, inspect the tool for optimal technical condition.
  2. Always check the cutting disk for cracks or other damage.
  3. Always hold the tool with both hands.
  4. When grinding, maintain an angle of approximately 15° between the grinding disk and the workpiece surface for ideal results and to prevent overloading.
  5. When using a new grinding disk, avoid moving the tool in direction B (towards the workpiece) as the disk may dig into the material. Once the disk edge wears down, it can be moved in both directions (A and B).
  6. Sparking is normal during grinding and cutting of metal surfaces.
  7. Always unplug the tool from the mains before any work on it.
  8. Always wear safety goggles when operating the angle grinder.
  9. Keep the tool and its ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation.
  10. Use disks appropriate for the material being worked on.
  11. When cutting, always move the tool in the direction opposite to the disk's rotation.
  12. The device can be used as a grinder or a cutter.
  13. Do not cut or process light metals with over 80% magnesium content, as they are flammable.
  14. Do not cut objects thicker than the disk's cutting depth.
  15. Do not cut hard material thicker than 20 mm.
  16. Ensure the workpiece is securely fastened.
  17. The product has carbon brushes that need replacement when worn.
  18. The grinder is compatible with grinding disks up to 6 mm thick and 125 mm in diameter.
  19. User-replaceable parts include the grinding disk, disk guard, and side handle. Contact a service center for carbon brush replacement or repair.
