The NITEO Multifunctional Detector 3 in 1 (Model: MT0007-22, Part No: POJM220007) is a versatile device designed for the detection of wires, electrical systems, wooden, and metal structures. It is intended for private household use only and is not suitable for professional applications. Users are advised to read the instruction manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe operation.
Function Description
This device serves as a multifunctional detector, capable of identifying various materials hidden within walls, floors, and ceilings. Its primary functions include:
- Wood detection: Locating wooden studs and beams.
- Metal detection: Identifying metal pipes, rebar, and other metallic objects.
- Live wire detection: Detecting live electrical wires, indicating the presence of AC current.
The detector features an LCD display (6) that provides visual feedback during operation. This includes a status bar, blinking icons, and a bar graph scale to indicate the proximity and type of detected object. An audible signal also assists in pinpointing the location of detected objects.
Important Technical Specifications
- Power supply: 1 x 6LR61, 9 V battery.
- Wood detection range: ≤ 19 mm.
- Metal detection range: ≤ 38 mm.
- Live wire detection range: ≤ 50 mm (for 110 V and 220 V alternating current).
Usage Features
The device is designed for ease of use, with a simple interface consisting of a selection button (1) and an acceptance button (2).
Battery Installation and Removal:
- To install the battery, turn the device upside down and open the battery compartment cover (3).
- Connect a 6LR61, 9 V battery to the battery connector (4), observing the polarity markings.
- Place the battery in the battery compartment (5) and close the cover.
- The device will automatically turn on and off, emitting a long beep, when the battery is inserted.
- Only 6LR61, 9 V batteries are recommended. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Never expose batteries to direct heat sources, excessive sunlight, heaters, or fire.
- Batteries must not be dismantled, put into fire, or short-circuited.
- Remove spent batteries from the device immediately to prevent damage from electrolyte leaks.
- Spent batteries may leak, which could damage the device.
- If battery acid gets into eyes, contact a doctor. If acid contacts skin, rinse with water.
- Swallowing a battery can be fatal; seek medical assistance immediately if a battery is swallowed.
- Do not throw used batteries into household waste; dispose of them in special containers for spent batteries.
Switching the Device On/Off:
- To turn on the device, press and hold the acceptance button (2) for about 3 seconds until the device turns on.
- To turn off the device, press the selection button (1) and do not select any function. After approximately 20 seconds, the device will switch off automatically.
Detector Use:
- To prevent interference, hold the bottom of the device with one hand while keeping the other hand at least 15 cm away from it.
- Slide the device against the tested surface very slowly.
- Switch on the device (see point 7.2) and select metal detection using the acceptance button (2).
- The status bar and the blinking icon will be shown on the LCD display (6).
- After approximately 2 seconds, the status bar will disappear automatically, and the device will emit a quiet double beep.
- The device is ready to detect metal.
Wood Detection:
- Switch on the device (see point 7.2) and select wood detection using the acceptance button (2).
- The status bar and the blinking icon will be shown on the LCD display (6).
- After approximately 2 seconds, the status bar will disappear automatically, and the device will emit a quiet double beep.
- The device is ready to detect wood.
- When detecting wooden wall plugs, the wall surface should be uniform to prevent measurement errors.
Live Wire Detection:
- Switch on the device (see point 7.2) and select live wire detection using the acceptance button (2).
- The status bar and the blinking icon will be shown on the display.
- After approximately 2 seconds, the status bar will disappear automatically, and the device will emit a quiet double beep.
- The device is ready to detect live wires.
- The device is intended for detection of electric live wires with 110 V and 220 V alternating current (AC). It can also detect wires with voltage exceeding 220 V.
LCD Display Indications (7.4):
- During the detection process, the device emits audio and visual signals that enable the user to determine the location of detected objects.
- As the device approaches the detected item, the bar graph scale will be shown on the display. The more bars on the scale, the closer the device is to the object.
- When the central bar (b) appears, signaled by a continuous beep, it means the object edge has been detected. To determine the other edge, continue the measurement until the scale changes.
Icons appearing on the display (7.5):
- a - low detection level
- b - central bar (maximum detection level)
- c - low battery
- d - wood detection on
- e - metal detection on
- f - live wire detection on
