- Always check that the VPS is properly positioned according to the
different weather/environmental conditions and/or to the above mentioned
recommendations for use.
- We recommend using the VPS only and solely together with the approved
standard visor, which has a transmittance value greater than 80%.
- Since the VPSdoes notassureyouthe same protectionastheone provided
by the visor, it has to be used only when the helmet visor is pulled down.
- AlwaysmakesurethattheVPSiscleanandthatitisoperatingproperlyinorder
toavoidscratchesand/oranomalouswearoniteverytimeitisactivated.
- ALWAYS check the correct VPS operation and in case of malfunctioning do
not use the helmet and contact immediately a Nolan authorized dealer.
- Pleaserefertothepropersectioninthehelmetuser’smanualfortheVPSand
visor maintenance and cleaning operations.
- The VPS anti-fog / anti-scratch treatment highly reduces fogging. Protracted
periodsofadverseweatherand/orenvironmentalconditionsmightcause
foggingand/orformationofcondensationontheVPS,whichentailsareduction
ofvisibilityand/orsharpnessofvision:inthiscase,deactivatetheVPS.
- Incaseofrain,thedirectcontactofraindropswiththeanti-fog/antiscratch-
treatedVPSquicklyreducessharpnessofvision,thuscausingscarcevisibility:
inthiscase,deactivatetheVPS.
- ThespecialVPSanti-fogtreatmentisusuallysensitivetohightemperaturesor
heat sources. In this case, contaminations caused by contact with other
materials might occur. These contaminations will cause marks and stains to
develop. In these cases (e.g. when the helmet is kept in the top case on hot
days), it is recommended to make sure the visor is not touching other materials.
1. VPSDISASSEMBLY
The VPS has been designed to ensure an easy, quick and tool-free disassembly.
To remove the VPS system from the helmet, open the chin guard and lower the VPS by
pushing the side slider forwards (Fig. 11).
Hold the SX side part of the VPS and pull the VPS to front of the helmet (Fig. 13) in order
to release it from the side frame inside of the shell.
Repeat the same operation on the DX side of the helmet .
2. VPSASSEMBLY
To assemble the VPS system, open the helmet chin guard and make sure the side slider
is in forward position (Fig. 11).
Insert the VPS SX end into the left side frame inside the shell until you hear a click
providing the fastening of the VPS (Fig. 13).
Repeat the same operation on the DX side.
Make sure the VPS operates correctly by activating and deactivating it according to the
instructions above.
- If the visor and/or VPS opening/closing mechanisms are damaged or
malfunctioning, do not use the helmet and contact immediately a Nolan
authorized dealer.
