The Nomestic Airsight CO2 monitor is a device designed to provide real-time insight into indoor air quality, focusing on carbon dioxide (CO2) levels, temperature, and humidity. Its primary function is to help users maintain a healthy indoor climate by making air quality measurable and transparent.

Function Description:

The Airsight CO2 monitor utilizes an advanced NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared Technology) sensor to accurately detect CO2 levels. This sensor can measure CO2 concentrations between 400 ppm and 5000 ppm. In addition to CO2, the device also measures the ambient temperature and humidity. The monitor features intelligent calibration technology, allowing it to automatically adapt to new environments, making it suitable for various indoor spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, offices, catering establishments, and shops.

The device provides a health indication based on CO2 levels, categorized as "Good" (green), "Be careful" (yellow), and "Bad" (red). When CO2 levels are too high (in the "Bad" range), a buzzer alert will sound. The monitor also includes an auto-calibration feature, ensuring accurate measurements over time without manual configuration.

Usage Features:

The device is straightforward to operate with a few buttons:

  • "-" Button:
    • Short press: Turns backlight on/off.
  • "O" Button:
    • Long press: Turns the device on/off.
  • "+" Button:
    • Short press: Switches between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
    • Long press: Switches the buzzer on/off.

CO2 Value Indicators:

  • 400 - 700 ppm (Green, Healthy): No action needed.
  • 700 - 1500 ppm (Yellow, Be careful): Within reminder range. Take action when the value increases.
  • 1500 - 5000 ppm (Red, Bad, buzzes 3 times): Out of safe range. Open doors and/or windows for ventilation.

First Use and Automatic Calibration:

Upon first use, the device performs an automatic calibration process that lasts approximately 24 hours. During this period, it's recommended to:

  1. Connect the CO2 monitor to an adapter to prevent it from shutting down.
  2. Place the device in a well-ventilated area, such as a room with an open door or near a window, minimizing the presence of people and animals. After 24 hours, the device will reach its optimal measurement level and can be disconnected and moved as desired. The automatic calibration functionality allows the monitor to adapt to new environments without requiring manual configuration, enabling users to move it between rooms freely. It is recommended to occasionally ventilate the room where the device is located to promote air quality and improve the CO2 measurement sensor's performance. For permanent installations, keeping the device connected to an adapter can prevent the battery from running down.

Display and Battery Status:

The display shows the battery level, buzzer alert status, air quality indicator, CO2 level, temperature, and humidity. The battery status is indicated as Charged, Charging, or Low.

Important Notes for Use:

  • Do not immerse the product in water or place it in high-temperature environments (above 60°C).
  • This is a precision measuring instrument; do not disassemble it without contacting the seller.
  • Avoid using the device in rooms with a high concentration of organic gases.
  • Avoid direct sunlight on the device.
  • Do not use a fast charger.
  • Do not use the monitor in damp areas like bathrooms.
  • Do not remove any stuck parts like screws or batteries.

Maintenance Features:

The device is designed for ease of use with minimal maintenance. The automatic calibration feature handles the ongoing adjustment for accurate readings. Regular ventilation of the room where the device is located is recommended to optimize sensor performance and air quality.

Warranty:

Nomestic offers a two-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects in material or if the device does not function properly. The warranty excludes damage from accidents, abuse, misuse, improper transport, unauthorized repairs, non-compliance with safety instructions or the manual, deterioration due to abnormal storage conditions, and lack of dated proof of purchase.
