Do you have a question about the NORAUTO JL-VWB6L and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This document describes the Norauto JL-VWB6L 6L oil-free air compressor, designed for generating compressed air up to a maximum of 10 bar. It is suitable for various applications such as inflating car tires and powering pneumatic tools like nailers, staplers, and orbital sanders. The compressor is not intended for commercial use.

Function Description:

The Norauto JL-VWB6L is a piston compressor that produces compressed air. It features a 6-liter tank and is designed for indoor use. The compressor automatically stops when the maximum air pressure of 10 bar is reached and restarts when the pressure drops below 8 bar. It includes a safety valve, a tank pressure gauge, a pressure regulator, an output pressure gauge, an air outlet, a fuse, a power switch, and a drain valve.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Number: ATR: 98685
  • Nominal Voltage: 220-240 V~ 50-60 Hz
  • Input Power: 300W
  • Idle Speed: 4500 rpm
  • Max. Operating Pressure: 10 bar
  • Testing Pressure: 15 bar
  • Tank Capacity: 6 litres
  • Lubrication Type: Oil-free
  • Air Flow Rate (@ 6 bar): 17 L/min
  • Protection Class: IP20
  • Weight: 8.5 kg
  • Ambient Temperature Range: +5 °C - +40 °C
  • Humidity: > 50 % (max. temperature: +40 °C)
  • Installation Altitude: < 1000 m
  • Acoustic Pressure Level (LPA): 79 dB(A)
  • Acoustic Power Level (LWA): 92 dB(A)

Usage Features:

  • Preparation for Use: Before starting, ensure the power switch (7) is in the "OFF" position and the power cord is unplugged. Attach an air hose to the air outlet (5) using the 1/4 NPT connector. Set the desired pressure using the pressure regulator (3) and connect the air hose to the tool's air inlet, using sealing tape for airtight connections.
  • Starting the Compressor: Verify that the air tank's drain valve (8) is closed. Plug the power cord into a grounded 220-240 volt electrical outlet. Push the "ON" side of the ON/OFF power switch (7) to turn on the compressor. The motor will stop when the tank pressure gauge (2) indicates 10 bar and automatically restart when the pressure drops below 8 bar.
  • Adjusting Output Air Pressure: Turn on the compressor. Once the maximum pressure of 10 bar is reached, the motor stops. Rotate the pressure regulator knob (3) counterclockwise to decrease output pressure or clockwise to increase it. The output pressure gauge (4) will show the set pressure.
  • Stopping the Compressor: Push the ON/OFF power switch (7) to the "OFF" position. Press the tool's trigger to relieve air pressure from the hose and disconnect the hose from the air outlet. Open the tank drain valve (8) by slowly turning it counterclockwise until all pressure is relieved and moisture is drained. Retighten the drain valve (8). Allow the compressor to cool completely before storing it in a clean, dry, safe place out of reach of children.
  • Safety Precautions: Always read the manual and general safety instructions before use. Wear personal protective equipment, including hearing protection if the sound power level exceeds 85 dB(A). Avoid contact with hot parts to prevent burns. Do not use damaged equipment. Ensure the work area is clean, well-lit, and free from flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Keep children and bystanders away. Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces. Do not expose the compressor to rain or humidity. Do not abuse the power cord. Prevent unintentional starting by ensuring the switch is off before plugging in.

Maintenance Features:

  • General Maintenance: Have the power tool serviced by qualified personnel using only identical replacement parts. Regularly check the compressor and accessories for damage. If the product is not working, check the fuse and replace it if damaged.
  • Daily Checks:
    • Safety Valve (1): Check for correct operation by turning it. The safety valve is factory-set to the maximum allowable pressure and should not be adjusted or have its seal removed.
    • Drain Valve (8): Check for any visible problems. Clean this valve daily to remove dust and dirt.
  • Weekly Checks:
    • Pressure Tank: Check for any visible problems. The pressure tank should be regularly inspected for damage (e.g., rust). Do not operate if defects pose a risk. Contact customer service if damage is found.
  • Monthly Checks:
    • Intake Filter: Clean this filter at least every 100 operating hours or if performance drops. Minor dust can be cleaned with a brush or air gun. For heavy dirt, soak in petrol for three minutes, clean carefully, and blow dry. Wait until the compressor is completely cooled before cleaning the filter to avoid burns.
  • Condensate Drainage: Drain condensate daily by slowly unscrewing the drain valve (8) at the bottom of the pressure tank (no more than four threads) until compressed air and condensation are released. Allow sufficient time for all air and condensation to escape, then firmly retighten the valve.
  • Cleaning: Ensure the ON/OFF switch (7) is in the "OFF" position, the unit is unplugged, and the air is drained from the tank before any cleaning or maintenance. Do not allow water, oil, or dirt inside the tool. Never use solvents like petrol, alcohol, or ammonia water, as they can damage plastic parts.
  • Storage: Store the compressor in a dry, high, or locked place, out of reach of children. Depressurize the compressor completely before storage by using the safety valve or drain valve until the pressure gauge reads zero.
