Functioning
The air valve is controlled by a lever under the front panel [See page 19]. The air valve is controlled by
turning the lever to the right or le. When the lever is in the rightmost position, the air supply is cut
o. Maximum air ow can be ensured by turning the lever to the lemost position. Secondary air enters
the combustion chamber through the aerburner combustion system, i.e. through openings in the rear
upper part of the tub and through openings in the chamotte (ceramic concrete lining) on some
insert models. The insert replace is also equipped with an air curtain that reduces soot deposits on
the pane, providing a “clean glass” eect.
Above the combustion chamber is a special ceramic concrete plate (retaining plate). Some models have
two retaining plates. The decorative cover plate must be removed during the installation of the
replace insulation (the cover plate is a non-removable part and has an elevator door, just like the
insert itself). During the combustion process, combustion gases oat around the walls of the
combustion chamber, deector and horizontal radiators. They then pass through the ue and ducts to
eventually reach the chimney. The air around the sheathed built-in replace is heated (by convection)
and escapes into the room through the appropriate ventilation slots in the replaces sheathing. This
provides heat recovery and oers an additional source of indoor heating.
Opening and closing door
CAUTION: Do not strike the door when closing - this may crack or break the glass.
The elevator door can not only move up and down, but can also be opened sideways. The side-opening
or tilting elevator door is used only for maintenance of the insert (cleaning the glass, etc.). It is not
intended for daily use.
To open the elevator door sideways, proceed as follows:
- move the elevator door to the lowest position until it touches the adjusting screws on the stop of the
sliding device;
- push down the lever protruding from the side of the wall to release the pin in the baptize the door by
holding the lever;
Aer opening the door, perform maintenance work or clean the insert. The door of the insert is closed
in the following way: by performing a swinging motion and pushing the door down - the pin clicks into
the lock, then li the door up and push it down at the same time (until you hear a characteristic click
sound). Hold the handle when liing the door.
