How to Measure Noise Curves
Noise Criterion (US) and Noise Rating Curves (Europe) define the limits of octave band spectra for
background noise that meet the design requirements of your installation.
Ensure the room is quiet.
On the XL2, select “Noise Curves” from the Main Menu.
Choose your required Noise Curve Type and Standard.
Press the Play button to measure.
After 20 seconds, stop and save the measurement result.
Save also a screenshot of each result.
Measure with the XL2 in a 6 to 12 meter grid.
