The Nu-Tek UT1032 is a portable ultrasound device designed for deep ultrasonic wave stimulation within body tissues. It is intended for the treatment of selected medical conditions such as pain relief, muscle spasms, and joint contractures. The device is not recommended for the treatment of malignancies and should be kept out of reach of children.
Function Description:
The UT1032 generates pulsed high-frequency sound waves (1MHz) that are transferred to a specific body area via a sound head probe. This process generates vasodilation, which helps increase blood flow to the treated area, thereby relieving pain and reducing muscle spasms. The device is controlled by a single-chip microprocessor, ensuring quality and ease of use. It features a head warming function that pre-heats the sound head applicator for increased patient comfort. The device operates with three output intensities (Low, Medium, High) and three treatment time selections (5, 10, and 15 minutes) to accommodate various therapy requirements. A load detection system is incorporated for safety, automatically stopping the treatment if the sound head does not have good contact with the skin.

Usage Features:
The UT1032 is designed for user convenience with its ergonomic shape that fits comfortably in the hand.
- Power On/Off: The device is turned on by sliding the power switch upwards (towards "ON"). The power indicator light illuminates.
- Head Warming Feature: Upon powering on, the device automatically enters a preheat mode, indicated by six flashing lights. This process takes approximately three minutes to reach the preset temperature. If not needed, the warming feature can be bypassed by simultaneously pressing the "MODE" and "TIME" buttons. During preheating, the ultrasound head should not be applied to the patient.
- Ultrasound Intensity Selection: The "MODE" button allows selection of three intensity levels: Low (5% modulation duty cycle), Medium (50%), and High (100%), each indicated by a corresponding LED light.
- Treatment Time Selection: The "TIME" button cycles through preset treatment durations of 5, 10, and 15 minutes. Once a time is selected, the system begins operation. The treatment time can be adjusted during a session by pressing the "TIME" button.
- Application: A generous layer of ultrasound transmission gel must be applied to the treatment area, which should be clean and free of oil and dirt. The sound head is then moved in a slow, flat, circular motion over the skin surface to ensure even application.
- Automatic Shut-off: The device automatically shuts off after the selected treatment time is completed, and all indicator lights turn off.
- Load Detection System: This safety feature ensures that the treatment head has good contact with the skin. If contact is lost, the device will automatically stop, and the time indicator light will flash once. The device will not continue the treatment program until good contact is re-established.
- Temperature Protection: The device also has a temperature protection function. If the temperature of the treating head exceeds 104°F (40°C), the treatment will automatically stop, and the time indicator light will flash twice.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: After each use, with the device turned off, the ultrasound head/probe should be cleaned with a wet towel or soft tissue. The device should not be immersed in water.
- Storage: When not in use, the device and its adapter should be stored in a dry room, protected from extreme moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. It should be kept in its protective case at room temperature. No heavy objects should be placed on the storage case.
- Applicator Cleaning: The applicator should be regularly inspected for damage (e.g., hairline cracks) which could allow the penetration of liquids. The contact surface should be cleaned immediately after each treatment. No ultrasound gel remains on the applicator. The head and adapter cable should be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water. The applicator can be disinfected using a cloth moistened with an antimicrobial cleaner.
- General Care: Avoid exposing the product to chemical solvents, water lint, dust, direct sunshine, or high temperatures. Keep the unit out of reach of young children to prevent strangulation from the wire or inhalation/swallowing of small parts.
- Servicing: The device should only be serviced, repaired, and opened by individuals at authorized sales centers. Do not modify the equipment without authorization. If the device is damaged, discontinue use immediately to prevent injury or danger.
- Cable Inspection: Cables should be checked regularly, and if damaged, use of the device should be stopped.
