The IQbuds² are wireless earbuds designed to enhance both audio streaming and hearing features. This quick start guide outlines the device's components, charging procedures, fitting instructions, app setup, pairing processes, and tap touch controls.

Function Description:

The IQbuds² serve as a versatile audio device, offering capabilities for streaming media (music and video) and advanced hearing features such as World Volume and Ear ID. They are designed to provide high-quality bass and noise reduction through an airtight seal in the ear. The earbuds integrate with a companion app for setup, customization, and control, and connect to smartphones via Bluetooth.

Important Technical Specifications:

• Battery Life (IQbuds²):
  • Up to 5 hours for streaming media (music and video).
  • Up to 8 hours for hearing features (World Volume, Ear ID, etc.).
  • Note: Battery life may be reduced when using hearing features and streaming media simultaneously.
• Charging Case: Provides additional charges for the IQbuds² when on the go. It can be charged via a USB cable connected to a USB power source (wall charger, computer, etc.).
• Connectivity: Bluetooth for pairing with smartphones (iOS and Android).
• Controls: Tap touch sensors on the earbuds for various functions.

Usage Features:

• Fitting:
  • Inserting IQbuds: Check for left and right markings to ensure correct placement. The ear tip should be at the bottom before inserting.
  • Fit Like an Earplug: Push the buds into your ears to form an airtight seal, which is crucial for high-quality bass and noise reduction.
  • Experiment with Tips: The device includes an ear tip tray with various sizes. Users should select the largest size that fits comfortably and forms the best seal. Tips can be easily removed by holding the silicone or foam and pulling.
• App Setup + Pairing:
  • Download App: The IQbuds app is available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).
  • Tap Touch: The green highlighted surfaces on the earbuds are tap sensors, allowing control of features through tap gestures.
  • Pairing Mode: To activate pairing, hold both tap sensors for approximately 5 seconds until "Pairing" is heard. This allows the phone to discover the IQbuds in Bluetooth settings and within the app.
  • Bluetooth Pairing (iOS - Apple):
    • For iOS 13 and above, a "Bluetooth Pairing Request" pop-up will appear in the app. Tap "Pair" to proceed.
    • For iOS versions lower than 13, users will be directed to Bluetooth settings to manually connect to "IQbuds2MAX_XXX" (where XXX is a unique code). After connecting, return to the app and tap "Pair" on the pop-up message.
    • To check iOS software version: Settings > General > About > Software Version.
  • Bluetooth Pairing (Android):
    • A "Detected: IQbuds2MAX_XXX" pop-up will appear in the app. Tap "Connect" to proceed.
    • If pairing is not properly activated, users may be directed to Bluetooth settings to manually connect to "IQbudsMAX2_XXX". After connecting, return to the app.
• Tap Touch Controls (Default Settings):
  • Left Tap: Play/Pause (media), Answer Call, Mute Call On/Off (phone calls).
  • Right Tap: World On/Off.
  • Left Double Tap: Activate Siri.
  • Right Double Tap: Activate Siri.
  • Left Long Tap: None (default), Reject/Hang up call (phone calls).
  • Right Long Tap: Change Location.
  • Customization: Tap touch controls can be customized within the "Tap Touch" section of the app.
  • Note: Phone call functions cannot be changed from their default settings.

Maintenance Features:

• Charging:
  • IQbuds²: Place IQbuds² in the charge case to charge. Front lights on the case indicate the IQbuds² charge status (green for charged, red for charging). These lights activate when the case is opened or closed and turn off after a few seconds for battery efficiency. IQbuds² must be in the case for the front lights to activate.
  • Charge Case: The side light on the case indicates its charge status.
    • Not plugged in: Green means more than 1 full charge for IQbuds², red means less than 1 full charge.
    • Plugged in with USB cable: Green means case is charged, red means case is charging.
• Ear Tip Replacement: Ear tips are designed to be easily pulled off for replacement or cleaning.
