Do you have a question about the NUTOOL NAG115 and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes two models of angle grinders, NAG115 and NAG125, providing detailed instructions for their safe operation, maintenance, and technical specifications.
The angle grinders are designed for grinding operations. They are equipped with a spindle lock for easy disc changes, an adjustable guard for safety, and a side handle that can be positioned for either left- or right-handed users. The On/Off switch is located on the rear hand grip and includes a safety device to prevent accidental activation.
For grinding operations, the disc should be positioned at an angle of 30° to 40° relative to the workpiece. The guard is crucial for deflecting hot sparks away from the operator. It is important to note that these angle grinders are not designed for cutting operations, and a separate cutting guard must be purchased if cutting is required.
Both models operate on a 230 V - 50 Hz power supply and have a no-load speed of 11000 min⁻¹.
NAG115:
NAG125:
The rotational speed (RPM) indicated on the grinding disc must always be higher than the rotational speed (RPM) of the angle grinder itself.
General Safety: Before use, operators must read, understand, and follow all instructions to ensure safety for themselves and others, and to ensure the machine's longevity. It is crucial to understand the power tool's limitations and potential hazards. The manual should be kept in a safe place for future reference.
Avoiding Unintentional Starting: Always ensure that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed from the power tool before starting. The On/Off switch must be in the OFF position before connecting to the mains supply. Power tools should be disconnected from the mains when not in use, before servicing, lubrication, adjustment, or when changing accessories.
Inspecting Damaged Parts: Before reuse, the power tool must be carefully inspected to ensure proper function and alignment of moving parts. Check for broken components, proper assembly, and any conditions that might affect operation. Damaged guards or parts must be repaired or replaced by an authorized service center. A faulty On/Off switch must also be replaced by an authorized center. Do not use the tool if the On/Off switch does not function correctly.
Dust and Personal Protection: Grinding operations generate dust that is harmful to health; a suitable dust mask is recommended. Always wear personal protective equipment, including safety goggles, gloves, mask, ear protectors, and non-slip safety shoes. Avoid loose clothing or jewelry, and tie back long hair to prevent entanglement in moving parts.
Work Environment: Always work on a stable base and securely clamp the workpiece. Keep the work area clean, tidy, and well-lit. Operate the tool with both hands. Never open or modify the tool or its accessories. Do not expose the tool to rain or use it in damp/wet conditions. Avoid using the tool in areas with combustible materials, flammable liquids, paints, solvents, gases, or explosive dust.
Children and Pets: Keep children and pets out of the work area. Store power tools out of reach of children, preferably in a dry, locked cabinet or room when not in use.
Correct Tool Selection: Choose the appropriate tool for the job. Do not force a small tool to do the job of a heavy-duty tool.
Overloading: The power tool will perform better and safer when used at its designed speed.
Side Handle Installation: The side handle can be fitted to either side of the machine (Pic. 8) to suit the operator's preference, ensuring it is secured without overtightening.
Power Connection: Connect the angle grinder to a suitable mains socket. Using an approved Residual Current Device (RCD) is advisable. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
Grinding Angle: Grinding operations should be performed with the disc at an angle of 30° to 40° to the workpiece (Pic. 10).
Dry Grinding: NEVER immerse the grinding disc in any lubricant, including water. The angle grinder is a dry grinder; failure to observe this can result in a fatal electric shock.
Tool Maintenance: Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
Ventilation: Ensure ventilation slots are kept clean and dust-free. Blocked slots can cause overheating and motor damage.
Working at Height: If used at height, scaffolding with railings and kick-plates or a tower platform must be used for stability.
Electrical Shock Protection: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces (e.g., pipes, radiators, dishwashers, refrigerators).
Power Cords: Never yank or pull the power cord to disconnect. Never carry the tool by its power cord. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, solvents, and sharp edges. Periodically inspect the power cord and extension cords for damage and replace if necessary. DO NOT use 2-core extension cords or reels on power tools with an earth path; always use 3-core extension cords or reels with an earth core connected to earth. Always fully unwind extension cords. For cords up to 15m, use 1.5mm² wire cross-section; for cords over 15m but under 40m, use 2.5mm² wire cross-section. Protect extension cords from sharp objects, excessive heat, and damp/wet locations.
Repairs: This power tool complies with National and International Standards and safety requirements. Repairs must only be carried out by qualified personnel using original spare parts. Failure to do so may result in considerable danger to the user.
