Do you have a question about the NuvoMed DigiEars MAX and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The NuvoMed DigiEars | MAX Complete In-Canal Hearing Aid with Charging Case (Model: HSA-4/0142) is an over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aid designed for users aged 18 and older. It aims to assist individuals with hearing loss by amplifying sounds, though it does not restore normal hearing or prevent/improve medical conditions causing hearing loss.

Function Description:

The device is a digital 4-channel DSP chip hearing aid with four pre-set programs: Standard, Restaurant, Outdoor, and Music. These programs are designed for different listening environments, such as quiet settings (home and office), very quiet settings (meetings, restaurants), outdoor environments (roads, supermarkets), and very noisy places (bars, crowded areas). The hearing aid features easily adjustable single-key volume control with six volume levels, active noise reduction, and minimal noise interference. It also has a memory function to automatically recall the previous hearing program.

    2. Clean wax out of ears, as excess earwax can clog hearing aids.
    3. Try out all ear bud sizes (small, medium, large) for a comfortable, snug fit before turning the device on.
    4. Start at the lowest volume setting and increase as needed.
    5. The device is ready for use.
  • Ear Tip Installation: Ear tips are pushed onto the hearing aid, ensuring they are firmly fastened. Users should gently pull the tips to confirm secure attachment.
  • Left & Right Markings: The hearing aids are marked with 'L' for the left ear and 'R' for the right ear.
  • Insertion Depth: The maximum insertion size of the hearing aid is 9.8mm, ensuring a safe distance from the eardrum for adults.
  • Wearing & Removing: To wear, hold the hearing aid and place it in the ear, then move it slightly into the auricle for holding. To remove, grasp the protruding hearing aid and gently pull it from the auricle.
  • Turning On/Off: Press the multi-function button for about six seconds to turn on (a prompt tone indicates the hearing program). To turn off, press the multi-function button for about six seconds until three beeps are heard, followed by a turn-off prompt tone.
  • Volume Adjustment: Short press the multi-function button to adjust volume through six levels. Three beeps indicate maximum volume.
  • Hearing Program Change: Long press the multi-function button for about three seconds to cycle through the four pre-set programs. Each program is indicated by a specific number of beeps (One Beep for Standard, Two Beeps for Restaurant, Three Beeps for Outdoor, Four Beeps for Music).
  • Charging the Hearing Aid: When turned off and placed in the correct slot of the charging case, the hearing aids will begin charging. An orange indicator light signifies charging, and a green light indicates a full charge. Lights turn off about five minutes after full charge. A notification sound warns of low battery.
  • Charging Case Operation:
    • Turn On/Off: Press and hold the battery check button for two seconds to turn on (indicator lights turn green and flash three times). Press and hold for five seconds to turn off (indicator lights turn orange and flash three times).
