the manual.
The Laser output information is displayed on the warning label. Do not remove safety labels from the instrument.
Do not look straight at the laser beam. Set up the instrument in a way that prevents laser beam from shooting
into people’s eyes.
Do not disassemble the instrument or attempt to perform any internal servicing. Repairs and servicing are to be
performed only by authorized service centers.
Do not operate or calibrate the unit in any other way or use any other tools or procedures different than
described in this manual.

Horizontal Applications Setup

Set up unit on tripod, wall mount, or solid surface for horizontal use.

Vertical Applications Setup

Set up unit on tripod or solid surface using vertical bracket for vertical use.

Instrument Operation

Automatic Leveling

Press power button to start auto leveling. Low battery indicated by blinking power light.

Grade Setting

Dial in grade value for horizontal applications. Set X direction and adjust grade using buttons.

Hold Function

Press button to hold established level; unit will not auto-level if bumped.

Height of Instrument Protection

Press button twice to enter protection mode. Unit stops rotating and indicators blink if bumped.

Battery Information

Instrument uses rechargeable batteries. Charging receptacle location and indicators.

Remote Control Operation

Instrument can be operated by infrared remote control. Receiver windows are on unit base.

Checking Calibration

Horizontal Calibration Check

Check horizontal accuracy by measuring laser line difference at two 180-degree positions.

Plummet Calibration Check

Check vertical accuracy by measuring laser position differences between two setup points.
