What to do if O&M Turnstiles arms are not locked and red light is on?
    • C
      ccunninghamAug 19, 2025
If the arms of your O&M Turnstiles are not locking and the indicator light is red, it could be due to a broken or displaced direction sensor cable, or dirty photocell units. Try soldering any broken cables and cleaning any dust from the unit. Another cause might be that the cable of the direction sensor is displaced from the connector on the electronic card; in this case, plug the cable back into the connector. If these steps don't work, one of the direction sensors may be broken and needs replacement.

What to do if O&M Turnstile does not allow passage despite receiving a pass signal?
    • C
      Chelsey ZimmermanAug 21, 2025
If your O&M Turnstile receives a pass signal but doesn't allow passage, the 15' data connector may be displaced or incorrectly connected; check the connections to ensure commands are being received. It's also possible that the commands are not being received. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the electronic card may be broken and needs replacement. Alternatively, the problem may be related to the solenoid; if a malfunction is recognized, replace it.

What to do if O&M Turnstile allows continuous passage in one direction?
    • L
      Leah MartinAug 25, 2025
If your O&M Turnstile continuously allows passage in one direction, it might be set to 'single way free' mode; rearrange it from DIP-switcher into standard operating mode. Alternatively, the locking solenoid cable may be displaced or broken; check and replace the cable if necessary. Another potential cause is a displaced or broken locking hook spring; fix it in place or replace it with a new one.

What to do if O&M Turnstile arms rotate too much after passage?
    • T
      tdawsonAug 26, 2025
If the arms of your O&M Turnstile rotate or turn more than technically specified after passage, the spring of the locking hook may be broken. Replace it with a new one. Alternatively, the solenoid of the locking hook may not be working properly, and should be replaced. Also, the core of the locking hook solenoid may be enlarged, in this case, replace the core with a new one.

      Mark JacobsAug 28, 2025
If your O&M Turnstile arms are not locking and rotate continuously after passage, the spring of the locking hook might be broken off or displaced; replace the locking hook with a new one. Another possible cause is a broken photocell unit; replace it with a new one. Finally, the electronic board might be broken down, in which case it should be replaced with a new one.

Why O&M Turnstile arm is not dropping in emergency?
    • S
      susankellyAug 30, 2025
If the arm of your O&M Turnstile (equipped with a dropping arm unit) is not dropping in case of emergency, the arm dropping batteries may be discharged; charge or replace them, and check the charging circuit. Battery cables or the cable of the arm dropping solenoid may also be displaced; plug them back in. Another cause may be that the arm shaft pin of the dropping arm mechanism is tightened; fix or replace it.

What to do if O&M Turnstile arms don't settle after passage?
    • N
      Natasha SmithSep 1, 2025
If the arms of your O&M Turnstile do not finalize the movement and settle to their place after passage, the springs of the balance arm may be displaced or broken off. Fix them into place or replace them with new ones. The copper of the braking magnet may also be worn out and needs replacement. Additionally, the braking magnet or hydraulic damper tuning may be disordered; in this case, make the tuning again.

Why O&M Turnstile is not being reset after authorisation?
    • A
      Anna RoseSep 3, 2025
If your O&M Turnstile is not being reset at the end of the specified time after authorization, and no feedback is received regarding the passing direction, the dip-switch control may be turned off; set the DIP switch position to its standard place. Also, connection ends of the data connector may not be fixed correctly or may be broken down; check the connections. Finally, the electronic card may be broken down and requires replacement.

What to do if O&M Turnstile has energy but arms rotate idle?
    • M
      Michael ThomasSep 5, 2025
If your O&M Turnstile has power but the arms are rotating idly, the locking magnet cables or cables of the photo-cell unit (position informing) might be displaced; plug them back in if displaced. Alternatively, the electronic board might be broken down; replace it with a new one if necessary.

Why O&M Turnstile does not have pass signal but allows passage?
    • C
      corymartinezSep 7, 2025
If your O&M Turnstile allows passage without a pass signal (pass indicator, buzzer), the pass indicator cable might be displaced; plug it back in if it is. Alternatively, the microcontroller on the electronic board or the ULN 2803 A circuit that drives the pass indicator may be broken down; replace the microcontroller, ULN 2803A circuit, or the electronic board with a new one.
