flow through the overflow hose into the
overflow coolant tank.
Tank Removal
Remove:
The upper cover of engine hood.
Coolant tank support bolt and.
Overflow hose and clamp.
The installation is the reverse of the removal
procedure.
RADIATOR FAN
Radiator Fan Removal
Remove radiator shroud.
Remove bolts.
Remove the radiator fan.
Radiator Fan Test
NOTE: The ECM controls the radiator fan via
the input of the coolant temperature sensor
(CTS). The radiator fan should turn on when
coolant temperature reaches 83 ℃ and
should turn off when the coolant cools
down at 83℃.(181.4°F).
Connect the vehicle to B.U.D.S. Refer to
ENGINE MANAGEMNT for procedure and
connector location.
In ACTIVATION folder, press COOLANT FAN
button.
If fan turns, check CTS, wiring harness and
connectors. If all parts are good, replace the
ECM.
If fan does not turn when COOLANT FAN
button is pressed, use the following
troubleshooting chart to resolve the
problem.
WATER PUMP HOUSING
It is located on the engine MAG side.
Water Pump Housing Removal
Drain cooling system.
Remove radiator outlet hose from water
pump housing.
Remove screws retaining water pump
housing.
1.Screws
2.Water pump housing
3.Sealing ring
Pull water pump housing to remove it.
Water Pump Housing Inspection
Check if gasket is brittle, hard or damage
and replace as necessary.
! WARNING
To avoid potential burns, do not remove
the radiator cap or loosen the cooling
drain plug if the engine is hot .
