Why is my Oerlikon Water Pump getting too hot?
    • M
      Mark GarnerAug 14, 2025
If the Oerlikon Water Pump gets too hot, ensure a sufficient cooling water supply. Also, decalcify cooling water lines and clean the filter insert in the pressure reducer. Make sure the ambient temperature isn't too high and that cooling air flows sufficiently. Check the pressure levels within the system and verify that the gas temperature is not too high. Clean the pumping chamber if the clearance between the housing and rotors is too small due to contamination or distortion. Ensure proper bearing condition and lubricant quality, drain or top up lubricant to the correct level, and consult OLV service for wrong lubricant or defective bearing.

How to troubleshoot start up issues with Oerlikon Water Pump?
    • E
      Elizabeth SchneiderAug 18, 2025
If the Oerlikon Water Pump does not start, ensure the motor is correctly connected. If EF2, EF3, or 100FT is displayed at the frequency converter, the overtemperature switch or motor stator could be defective, requiring OLV Service. A defective pressure switch should be replaced. If the lubricant is too thick, exchange it or warm it up along with the pump. Motor rotor defects or seized components like impellers, bearings, or toothed gears also necessitate OLV Service.

What to do if Oerlikon DRYVAC DV 650 is extremely loud?
    • J
      Jenna CabreraAug 21, 2025
If your Oerlikon Water Pump is extremely loud, it might be due to bearing damage, which requires pump repair. Thick particle deposits can also cause this; clean the pump or perform maintenance. A defective silencer should be repaired or replaced. High gas throughput with the discharge line open and without a silencer necessitates installing a discharge line or silencer.

Why is my Oerlikon DRYVAC DV 650 leaking lubricant?
    • O
      ooneillAug 25, 2025
If the Oerlikon Water Pump is losing lubricant and the leak is apparent via a leaky oil drain plug, drain the lubricant, firmly screw in a new oil drain plug with the gasket, and refill with the correct amount of lubricant. Leaky oil level glasses, a leaky gear cover (replace the O-ring), or a puddle under the motor (seal leak) may also be the cause. For oil level glasses leaky and puddle under the motor, contact OLV Service and shutdown pump immediately. If no lubricant leak is apparent, refer to the troubleshooting steps for 'Lubricant in the pump chamber'.

What causes an Oerlikon DRYVAC DV 650 to not attain its pumping speed?
    • A
      Alejandro JohnsonAug 29, 2025
If the Oerlikon Water Pump does not reach its pumping speed, start by cleaning the intake screen. Ensure the motor is correctly connected. Other potential causes include a defective motor stator or rotor, a gas leak in the vacuum pump system, excessive impeller play, or a defective bearing. For motor stator or rotor defects, excessive impeller play or defective bearing, contact OLV Service. Detect and seal any gas leaks to resolve that issue.

Why is there lubricant in the pump chamber of my Oerlikon Water Pump?
    • S
      scottmooreSep 1, 2025
If lubricant is found in the pump chamber of the Oerlikon Water Pump, drain the lubricant down to the correct level if it is too high. Check the system for lubricant ejection. Ensure the pump is placed horizontally. Look for and pinpoint any gas leaks towards the outside. Internal leaks or defective piston rings may also be the cause, requiring OLV Service.

Why does the oil in my Oerlikon DRYVAC DV 650 get too dark?
    • K
      Kurt SilvaSep 5, 2025
If the oil in your Oerlikon Water Pump gets too dark, it may be used up and needs to be exchanged. Another reason may be that the pump gets too hot. Refer to the troubleshooting steps for 'Pump gets too hot'; after resolving that issue, exchange the oil.

What to check if power supply failed in Oerlikon Water Pump?
    • B
      Brett GreenSep 9, 2025
If the power supply failed or one input phase has been lost on your Oerlikon Water Pump, check the power supply to ensure it is strong enough. The voltage in the DC bus may have fallen below the undervoltage detection level (L2-05).
