Why do my OFT give off a crackling sound?

  If your OFT Speakers are producing a crackling sound, static, or other noise, ensure all cables are connected to the line-out or audio-out jack on your sound card or audio source, and not speaker-out. If using a computer, check the volume control in Windows and ensure it's not set above halfway to prevent sound distortion. If the problem persists, try using an alternate audio source like a Walkman or FM radio by plugging the stereo cable into the headphone jack. If the noise stops, the issue may be with your original audio source.

  If one or both of your OFT Speakers are not working, check the input cable from the speaker to the audio source and ensure it's connected to the line-out jack. Verify all cables are securely plugged in. If the issue continues, unplug the cable from the computer and test with an alternate source, such as a Walkman, by plugging the stereo plug into the headphone jack. If the speakers then work, adjust the volume and balance controls in your audio source or Windows settings.

  If you experience radio feedback with your OFT Speakers and live near a radio tower, radio frequency interference may be the cause. Try relocating your speakers to see if the interference disappears. If it doesn't, consider purchasing a stereo cable with enhanced shielding from a local retailer.

What to do if DIN connector is not inserted in OFT Subwoofer jack?

  Verify the gray DIN connector is firmly inserted into the DIN jack on the OFT Subwoofer. Refer to the "Connections" section of your User's Guide for the correct position of the arrow on the DIN plug. It is important to insure the pins are aligned from plug to jack.
