Function Description

The WOOZOO Portable Air Conditioner is designed to provide cooling and, for the IPE-1221GH model, heating. It operates within a temperature range of 16°C (61°F) to 35°C (95°F). The unit offers several operating modes:

  • Cool Mode: Provides cooling, with the cool mode indicator lit and the set temperature displayed.
  • Heat Mode (IPE-1221GH only): Provides heating, with the heating mode indicator lit and the set temperature displayed.
  • Dry Mode: Functions as a dehumidifier, with the dry mode indicator lit. The dual-8 nixie tube does not display in this mode.
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling or heating, with the fan mode indicator lit. The dual-8 nixie tube does not display in this mode.
  • Auto Mode: The air conditioner automatically operates according to the ambient temperature. Set temperature is not displayed and cannot be adjusted.
  • Swing Function: Automatically swings the horizontal louver up and down to distribute air. This can be toggled on/off.
  • Timer Function: Allows users to set a timer for the unit to turn on or off. The timer can be adjusted in 0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours, and 1-hour increments beyond 10 hours.
  • Sleep Function: Available in Cool, Heat, and Dry modes, this function adjusts operation for comfortable sleep. It is unavailable in Fan and Auto modes.
  • Child Lock Function: Disables remote control signals to prevent unintended operation.
  • Temperature Display Switchover: Allows switching the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
  • Light Function: Toggles the display lamp on or off.

Usage Features

  • Control Panel: Features an ON/OFF button, +/– buttons for temperature/timer adjustment, Swing button, Fan button, Mode button, and Timer button. A dual-8 nixie tube displays information.
  • Remote Control: Offers ON/OFF, MODE, SWING, TIMER, T-ON, T-OFF, SLEEP, FAN, SPEED, LOCK, HEAT, COOL, DRY, AUTO buttons, and +/– buttons for adjustments. Icons on the display screen indicate the active mode, timer status, swing operation, sleep operation, lock status, set speed, set temperature, set time, and send signal.
  • Portability: Equipped with castors for easy movement on smooth, flat surfaces. The unit should not be inclined or turned over.
  • Installation: Requires a well-ventilated area, away from heat sources, flammable objects, and high-frequency devices. The heat discharge pipe should be as short and straight as possible.
  • Drainage: Water can be drained manually from the bottom drainage port or continuously from the middle drainage port using a hose.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning:
    • Outer Case: Wipe with a soft towel. For grease, use a neutral detergent.
    • Grille: Clean with a soft brush or cleaner.
    • Filter: Should be cleaned approximately every three months, or more frequently in dusty environments. Clean with water or a neutral detergent (40°C/104°F warm water if very dirty), then air dry in a shady place. Do not dry with fire or a hair dryer.
    • Heat Discharge Pipe: Remove, clean, dry, and reinstall.
  • Pre-Season Check: Verify air inlets/outlets are clear, plug/socket condition, filter cleanliness, battery installation in remote control, and proper installation/condition of joints, window bracket, and heat discharge pipe.
  • Post-Season Check/Long-Term Storage: Disconnect power, clean filter and outer case, remove dust, eliminate accumulated water from the chassis, and check window bracket condition. For storage, ensure no accumulated water, disassemble the heat discharge pipe, unplug and wrap the power cord, clean the unit, and pack it to prevent dust.
  • Refrigerant Handling (Specialist Only): Installation, movement, or maintenance involving refrigerant leaks or discharge must be handled by certified professionals in compliance with local regulations. Safety checks, proper work procedures, ventilation, and leak detection methods are detailed for specialists. Recovery of refrigerant must be done safely into appropriate cylinders.
  • Malfunction Analysis: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues, including power failure, poor cooling/heating, remote control signal problems, unusual noises, and strange odors.
