Why does my Oleomac BCH 40 engine not reach full speed and emits excessive smoke?

  There are several reasons why your Oleomac Trimmer engine might not reach full speed or emits excessive smoke: * Check the fuel mixture. Use fresh fuel and the correct 2-cycle oil mix. * The air filter might be dirty. Clean it according to the instructions in the Maintenance-Air Filter Section. * The carburetor may require adjustment. Contact a Servicing Dealer for carburetor adjustment.

  If your Oleomac Trimmer engine won't start or only runs briefly, the issue might be: * No spark: Check for a spark at the spark plug tip. If there's no spark, try again with a new spark plug (TORCH L6RTC). * Flooded engine: Follow the procedure on page 7. If it still doesn't start, try again with a new spark plug.
