Clearing Foil Jams
If you inadvertently feed the laminating foil into the laminator at an angle, or if the
rollers are soiled with too much residual adhesive, or if you try to laminate unsuit
able materials, laminating foils can jam inside the laminator.
Use the Jam Release function to quickly clear a foil jam.
1. Switch the on/off switch to OFF. The POWER and READY indicator lights go
off.
2. Press and hold the Jam Release lever on the rear of the machine to the left.
This releases the laminating foil.
CAUTION!
• Danger of burns due to hot machine surface!
During hot laminating, the machine surface heats up.
Do not touch the machine surface during laminating operation.
CAUTION!
• Danger of burns due to hot laminating foil!
When ejected after hot laminating, the laminating foil is very hot.
Take particular care when removing the hot laminating foil.
3. Carefully pull the laminating foil out of the feed side of the laminator.
After a foil jam, always clean the laminator. Clean the laminator as de
scribed in the section Regular Care and Maintenance.
