2) On the top right, click the Category entry, in the View by field.
3) In the Appearance and Personalization group, click the Adjust screen resolu-
tion entry.
" The Screen Resolution dialog box opens.
4) Here, click the Advanced settings entry.
" The [...] Monitor settings dialog box opens.
5) Select the Monitor tab and select the True Color (32 Bit) option in the Colors
field.
6) Click the OK button.
7) In the Colors field, select the Highest (32 bit) option.
8) Click the OK button.
MS-Windows 8:
With MS-Windows 8, the 32 bit color depth is set automatically. You do not need to
do anything.
6.3.2 The graphic card's driver is outdated
Problem: The graphic card's driver is outdated.
Solution: Check your graphic card's driver in the Device Manager and install an
update if it's outdated. Do the following:
1) Open the Device Manager.
Depending on the operating system you use, opening the Device
Manager is done in different ways. If required, refer to your operating
system's online help for further information on the Device Manager.
2) Doubleclick the Display adapters entry.
" A subentry with your graphic card's name appears.
3) Doubleclick this subentry.
" A dialog box containing the graphic card's properties opens.
4) Click the Driver tab.
" The driver type, the manufacturer and the driver date are displayed.
Load an update of the
graphic card driver
from the Internet.
5) We recommend that you run an update if your driver is more than two years
old. Find a suitable download in the Internet.
" Should you have a graphic card from NVIDIA, go to www.nvidia.com.
" Should you have a graphic card from ATI, go to www.ati.com.
Download the "Catalyst Control Center" software which contains the driver.
" Should you have a graphic card from another manufacturer, search for the
address in the Internet.
