FACE FOCUS
Highlighting
a
face
in
the
picture
Your subject's face will be sharp and in focus. and the background will appear soft and out
of
focus. This
feature
is
applicable on the largest andlor closest face
in
the frame. The subject must be facing towards the
camera.
Select the picture with
<ll>.
and press

There may be cases in which the camera cannot detect a face.
INDEX
Making
an
index
picture
from
a
movie
This function extracts 9 frames from a movie and saves them as a new picture
(INDEX) containing thumbnails
of
each frame.
Use
<ll>
to select a movie and press
~.
Use the arrow pad to select the first frame and press
~.
Select the last
frame in the same way and press
~.

Cutting
a
part
of
the
movie
Select a part
of
the movie you wish to save. overwrite the original file with it,
or
save it as a new file.
Select [NEW FILE]
or
[OVERWRITE] and press
~.
Use the arrow pad to select the first frame and press
~.
Select the last
frame in the same way and press
~.

Protecting
pictures
OFF ION
Protected pictures cannot be erased using [ERASE], [SEL. IMAGE] or [ALL
ERASE], but they are all erased by formatting.
Select the picture with

and protect it by selecting [ON] with

can protect several frames
in
succession.

pictures so that they are displayed vertically. New picture orientations are saved even when the power is
