2.5 Powering Down the Loads and UPS
Follow these steps to turn off the power of the UPS:
1. Turn off the power to loads connected to the UPS. Refer to the operating instructions for each load.
2. Turn the UPS switch to the “
” position.
2.6 Cleaning
! Before cleaning, turn off the switch of the UPS. Unplug the UPS from the power outlet.
! Also unplug the battery cable for the Long Back up Time model.
! Clean all surfaces with a soft, lint-free cloth that you have dampened in a mild solution of detergent and water. The
cloth must not be too wet.
WARNING-
1. Never spill water or cleaning fluid inside the unit. Should this happen accidentally, call immediately your
maintenance authority.
2.Do not use scouring pads, steel wool, harsh chemical agents, or anything that can damage the surface of
the unit
2.7 Storage
If you plan to store the UPS, there is a risk that the battery might discharge to the point where it is permanently
discharged. To prevent this from happening, follow these steps before storing the unit:
1. Fully charge the battery before storing the unit.
2. Recharge the battery for 24 hours at intervals not greater than 3 months.
2.8 Battery Maintenance
The battery should be serviced only by the qualified technicians.
OMEGA 1000
Standard model: Use SEALED LEAD ACID 12V 7(or 7.2)Ah×4 (CSB GP1270-F2 CSB GP1272-F2,
GS PE12V7.2) battery for replacement.
OMEGA 2000
Standard model: Use SEALED LEAD ACID 12V 7(or 7.2)Ah×6 (CSB GP1270-F2,CSB GP1272-F2,

3 Troubleshooting
This chapter describes problems you may encounter when using the UPS and the possible solution to these problems.
Also by the different LEDs display and buzzer beeping to let the user easily communicate with service people.

When the “Alarm” LED is on, please write down the LEDs bar display (from bottom to top) and contact to the service
people.
