Module 2. Software Setup
2.1. HTC Vive Setup
 Room Setup: Run HTC Vive room setup by choosing the “Standing” option and setting the
correct height parameters.
 Disable Vive Menu Button: The Vive hand controllers have a menu button at the bottom that is
often pressed accidentally by players during gameplay, prompting a menu screen to come up
inadvertently in the game. This is highly disruptive of gameplay and results in confusion and
communication challenges. Disable the Vive menu button as follows:
Enter the SteamVR Settings -> Developer and uncheck the checkbox “Enable VR Dashboard”
