OIL FILTER CHANGE
Place pan under old filter and remove by turning
counterclockwise. Clean filter mounting area. Lubri-
cate gasket on new filter with oil and screw filter on
clockwise until gasket touches mounting base, then
tighten
1/2
turn.
OIL DRAIN EXTENSION
For service convenience, install a short (less than
10
inches
[254
mrn]) oil drain extension made from
standard pipeand fittings, in the 1/2-inch
(12.70
mm)
pipe-tapped
oil
drain'hole in the base.
Crankcase pressure
could
blow
out
hot oil
and
cause serious burns.
Do
NOT
check
oil
while fhe engine
is
operating.
