Another possible cause is an incorrect basket power setting adjustment. Reduce suction by aligning the clear base red pin with basket hole #3.

Also, make sure the initial setup is correct by extending the pool cleaner and SkimmerMotion hoses as far as possible from the suction port and eliminating bubbles from the hoses.
