Overview

The Opentrons OT-2 is an open-source liquid handling lab robot designed for scientists, offering high customizability and compatibility with various kits and reagents. It occupies half a lab bench and features software and hardware modules that do not require coding knowledge to operate. The device has completed certifications including CE & FCC, NRTL, CB, and ISO 9001.

Function Description:

The OT-2 is primarily a liquid handling robot, capable of performing automated pipetting tasks in a laboratory setting. It supports both single and multi-channel pipetting configurations, with two pipette mounts allowing for either one or two single-channel pipettes, or one or two 8-channel pipettes. These pipettes are easily interchangeable, providing flexibility for different experimental needs.
