Also, check the sealing strip for damage or proper installation, replacing it if needed and ensuring correct installation. Finally, see if the bag edge is wrinkled; remove some food to provide sealing space, smooth the bag mouth, and try again.

  If your OPM Food Saver's seal function works, but it's not vacuuming, check the gasket for deformation and replace it if needed. Ensure the bag is placed inside the vacuum chamber correctly. If you're vacuuming food with sharp edges, protect them with safe paper first. Also, make sure the bag edge isn't covering the suction hole; reposition the bag correctly.

  If your OPM Food Saver bag inflates after vacuuming, this could be due to the type of food you've packed. Easy corrosion foods need to be frozen or refrigerated after vacuuming to extend their shelf life. Also, fresh vegetables, fruits, and seed foods aren't suitable for room temperature storage after vacuuming because they undergo photosynthesis and respiration. Refrigeration is recommended.
