the di󰘯erent levels until the desired level is reached (Fig. 11).
Replacing the main 󰘰lter and pre󰘰lter: If a 󰘰lter alarm is output, the pre󰘰lter
must be replaced (Fig. 12). Please monitor the time between 󰘰lter alarms.
This becomes shorter each time the pre󰘰lter is replaced. If you have
the impression that the change intervals are too short (this is a personal
impression), it is recommended to replace the main 󰘰lter and the pre󰘰lter
(Fig� 13)�
Alarm function
Filter clogging alarm: When the 󰘰lter clogging alarm is tripped, the LED
shows red. Without action, the 󰘱ow levels III and II change to one lower. To
replace the pre󰘰lter and main 󰘰lter, press and hold the On/O󰘯 button for 2
seconds to turn o󰘯 the e3000X. You can now change the 󰘰lters.
Battery alarm: When the battery alarm is triggered, the LED shows red. A
beep is emitted every second; you can continue using the device for approx�
30 minutes�
Storage
The e3000X system and accessories must be stored in a dry place� Protect
it against sunlight, high temperatures, hydrocarbons and solvent vapours.
Maintenance
Check the helmet regularly according to the operating instructions� Check
the face seal and the air nozzle for holes, cracks or other damage and make
sure that the parts are correctly positioned on the helmet (see instruction
manual)� Do not use the system until all worn or damaged parts have been
replaced�

Optrel recommends that the unit be serviced at least once a year by an Optel
quali󰘰ed service company. When the device is in storage, the battery must
be recharged every 4 months�
Cleaning and disinfection
Clean the blower, air hose and helmet using a cloth moistened with soapy
water� Allow the unit to dry at room temperature� Do not use aggressive
cleaning agents or solvents, alcohol or abrasive cleaning agents. The
mechanical seal is washable (hand wash, do not spin).
Troubleshooting
Blower does not switch on
Make sure the battery is inserted correctly.
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
Filter alarm is activated even though the pre- and main 󰘰lters have been
replaced and are correctly installed
Internal e3000X error
Return the e3000X system to the nearest dealer.
Battery life is too short
Battery defective Replace battery and dispose of defective battery as
hazardous waste
Charger defective - replace.
