During a call, you can select Options where you can choose to:
Use the speakerphone (h-free).
Put a call on hold.
Make a conference call.
Open applications, such as Messaging and Phonebook.

You have a choice between text messages (SMS) and multimedia
messages (MMS). The default message type is text.

Go to Menu > Messaging > Write message where you can type it out.
You have a choice how you write a message — using predictive text,
normal single key typing, lower case, upper case, etc. To make that
choice go from Write message > Options > Input method.
