Overview

The ORYXEARTH 105CC Mini Bike, Model HCF001A, is a compact recreational vehicle designed for personal use. This assembly manual provides detailed instructions for setting up the mini bike, from unpacking to initial operation and basic maintenance.

Function Description:

The mini bike is designed for off-road recreational riding. It features a 105cc engine, providing sufficient power for its intended use. The assembly process involves attaching the front fork, handlebar, front fender, and front wheel, followed by adding engine oil and preparing the bike for its first ride. The bike is started using a pull starter and includes a choke lever and an engine stop switch for control.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Engine: 105cc
  • Oil Requirement: 12oz of 10W30 Motor Oil (not provided with the mini bike)
  • Steering Pivot Bolt Tightening Torque: 39 N.m / 20 ft.lbs.
  • Handlebar Clamp Tightening Torque: 26 N.m / 19 ft.lbs.
  • Front Axle Nut Tightening Torque: 54 N.m / 40 ft.lbs.
  • Assembly: Requires user assembly of several key components.

Usage Features:

  • Unpacking: The initial step involves removing the mini bike from its cardboard box and then removing the protective foams.
  • Front Fork Assembly:
    • The forks and handlebar are initially rested on the right side of the bike.
    • The handlebar and front fork are lifted, placing the handlebar on top of the bike frame and the fork on the steering head. Care must be taken to avoid twisting wires and cables. The brake lever should face down.
    • The number plate tabs on the forks must face forward, and the lower fork plate slides under the steering head. Steering stop pins should be behind the steering stop.
    • The upper fork plate is moved back over the steering head, ensuring the steering stop pins remain behind the steering stop.
    • The hole in the upper fork plate is aligned with the hole in the steering head.
    • The steering bolt is inserted through the top fork plate and into the steering head, pushed all the way through to the lower fork plate.
    • The steering pivot nut is installed on the steering bolt and tightened securely to 39 N.m / 20 ft.lbs.
    • Important Note: Wires and cables must not be pinched between the frame and the lower fork plate or the steering stop pin and the frame when the handlebar is turned to the right. If pinching occurs, the cable tie, wires, and cables should be twisted toward the rear, away from the lower fork plate.
  • Handlebar Assembly:
    • The lower portion of the handlebar is rotated forward and under the grips and lever portion, resting on the top fork plate and frame. The brake lever should face up, and cables should not be twisted.
    • The two upper and two lower handlebar clamps are located.
    • One lower handlebar clamp is placed under the handlebar, aligning its holes with the holes in the upper fork plate.
    • An upper handlebar clamp is placed on top.
    • Two handlebar clamp bolts are inserted through the holes in the upper and lower clamps and the upper fork plate.
    • Nuts are installed on the handlebar clamp bolts but not tightened initially.
    • The process is repeated for the other side of the handlebar.
    • The handlebar is centered on the two clamps.
    • The handlebar angle is adjusted to align with the forks (or to personal preference).
    • The handlebar clamps are tightened securely to 26 N.m / 19 ft.lbs., ensuring the space between the upper and lower clamps is equal at the front and back.
  • Front Fender Assembly:
    • The front fender is placed over the mounting brackets on the front forks.
    • The holes in the fender are aligned with the threaded holes in the mounting brackets.
    • Philips head screws are inserted through plastic washers, the fender, and into the threaded holes of the mounting brackets. All four screws and washers should be hand-tightened before final tightening with a screwdriver.
  • Front Wheel Assembly:
    • The front axle bolt is inserted through the right fork (as seated on the bike) so that only 1-2 inches of the bolt protrude.
    • One axle spacer is placed on the bolt. The wheel is positioned between the forks with the tread facing correctly, and the axle bolt is inserted through the wheel.
    • The axle bolt is pushed through the other side of the wheel until about an inch extends past the wheel bearing.
    • The second axle spacer is placed on the axle where it extends from the wheel.
    • The spacer and the hole in the fork are aligned, and the axle bolt is pushed all the way through.
    • The axle nut is installed on the axle and tightened securely to 54 N.m / 40 ft.lbs.
  • Front Number Plate and Brake Lever Assembly:
    • The number plate is placed over the number plate tabs on the front fork, aligning its holes with the threaded holes of the tabs.
    • A screw with a plastic washer is inserted through the top hole and hand-tightened.
    • A screw and washer are installed in the lower hole.
    • Both upper and lower screws are tightened with a screwdriver.
    • The brake lever position is adjusted for comfortable riding, and its bolt is tightened.
  • Starting the Mini Bike:
    • After adding fuel to the fuel tank, the fuel lever is pushed forward to start fuel flow to the carburetor.
    • The choke lever is moved to the right, to the "START" position.
    • The small red button on the Engine Stop Switch is pressed so that it is pushed in and the larger red button sticks out, indicating the "RUN" position.
    • The bike is allowed to sit for a minute for the fuel to fill the carburetor.
    • The pull starter is pulled firmly to start the bike.
    • After the bike has started and warmed up for a minute or two, the choke lever is pushed to the left, to the "RUN" position.
    • To turn off the bike, the large red button on the Engine Stop Switch is pushed.
    • When done riding, the Fuel Lever is turned to the "OFF" position.
  • Safety Precaution: Always wear protective gear such as a helmet, gloves, boots, long-sleeve shirt, and pants when riding.

Maintenance Features:

  • Adding Oil:
    • 12oz of 10W30 motor oil must be added to the engine before the first start.
    • Oil is added into the oil filler neck on the front of the engine.
    • To check the oil level, the bike must be on level ground and held vertical on its two wheels (not resting on the side stand).
    • The dipstick is placed squarely in the filler hole (not screwed in), pulled out, and the oil level is checked. Oil is added as needed.
    • The dipstick is then replaced and tightened.
  • Clutch Oiling: The centrifugal clutch must be oiled before and after each ride, as instructed in the owner's manual.
