Overview

The Osann Flame360 is an i-Size child restraint system designed for children with a body height of 40 to 150 cm. It is approved under Regulation No. 129 and can be installed in various configurations depending on the child's height and age.

Function Description:

The Flame360 car seat offers multiple installation options to accommodate a child's growth:

  • Rear-facing installation (40 to 105 cm body height): This installation uses Isofix connectors and the Top-Tether belt. The child is secured with the car seat's integrated 5-point harness system. It is crucial not to use this position on a front seat with an activated airbag unless the airbag can be deactivated.
  • Forward-facing installation (76 to 105 cm body height, minimum 15 months old): This configuration also utilizes Isofix connectors and the Top-Tether belt, with the child secured by the car seat’s 5-point harness.
  • Forward-facing installation (100 to 150 cm body height): For this size class, Isofix connectors are used, but the Top-Tether strap is not required. The child is secured with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt. Alternatively, the car seat can be installed using only the 3-point seat belt, although Isofix connection is recommended.

The car seat features a RotationControl knob on the underside, which serves as a control aid to prevent premature forward-facing use. This knob allows the user to indicate if the child's age is below or above 15 months. If the child is under 15 months, the seat can only be rotated to the rear-facing and side-facing positions, with the forward-facing position locked. Once the child is over 15 months old and taller than 76 cm, the RotationControl knob can be adjusted to enable forward-facing use. Osann recommends using the car seat rear-facing for as long as possible, at least until the child is 15 months old and 76 cm tall.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Height suitability: 40 to 150 cm.
  • Regulation approval: ECE R129/03 (i-Size).
  • 5-point harness system: Usable for children under 18 kg and up to 105 cm in height. It CANNOT be used for children over 18 kg or taller than 105 cm.
  • Isofix connectors: Present for secure installation. Indicators show green when correctly engaged.
  • Top-Tether belt: Required for 40-105 cm height range (both rear-facing and forward-facing). Not needed for 100-150 cm height range.
  • Side impact protectors: Fold-out protectors on both sides of the car seat. The protector on the car door side should be pushed out by pressing an inner (red-marked) button. The protector on the interior side does not need to be folded out.
  • Reclining positions:
    • Rear-facing: R1 (40-75 cm), R2 (76-105 cm).
    • Forward-facing (76-105 cm, min. 15 months): 4 positions (1-4).
    • Forward-facing (100-150 cm): 1 position (1).
  • Rotation feature: The car seat has a rotation lever on both sides of the seat shell, allowing it to be rotated for easy child entry/exit and to switch between rear-facing and forward-facing positions (when permitted by age/height). The side position is only for entry/exit and must not be used while driving.

Usage Features:

  • Adjusting the tilt angle: A position lever on the lower front of the seat bucket allows for easy adjustment of the tilt angle.
  • Adjusting the belt: A belt adjustment button in the seat area helps loosen the 5-point harness. The front adjustment strap is used to tighten the belts. Always ensure straps are not twisted.
  • Opening/closing the belt: The belt buckle has a button to release the buckle tongues. To lock, connect both tongues and insert them into the buckle until a click is heard.
  • Adjusting the head support: A lever on the back of the child car seat adjusts the headrest height. Shoulder straps should be positioned just above the child's shoulders. Ensure the head support is engaged after adjustment.
  • Stowing the 5-point seat belt (for 100-150 cm size class): The shoulder pads, buckle pad, and Top-Tether belt can be removed and stored in a compartment at the back of the car seat. The shoulder straps can be placed behind the seat cover, and the buckle tongues can be inserted into the buckle and stowed in a recess in the seat area. This prepares the seat for use with the vehicle's 3-point belt.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, or aggressive cleaning agents. After each wash, check the stability of the fabric and seams. Follow the instructions on the label:
    • Wash at 30 °C, gentle wash cycle.
    • Do not bleach.
    • Tumble dry at low temperature.
    • Do not iron.
    • Do not dry clean.
  • Head cushion & comfort insert: These are designed for babies with a body height of 40-75 cm and should be removed once the child exceeds this height.
  • Regular checks: Regularly check the product for possible damage. If damaged, the car seat must not be used and should be stored out of reach of children.
  • Replacement: The child seat must be replaced if it has been exposed to heavy impact in an accident.
  • Seat cover: The child restraint system must not be used without the seat cover. The seat cover should not be replaced by a non-manufacturer-recommended cover, as it is an integral part of the restraint performance.
