Why is my Oshkosh Corporation Boom Lift making excessive noise and/or vibration?

Excessive noise and vibration in your Oshkosh Corporation Boom Lift may be due to several factors. It could be caused by insufficient hydraulic fluid, leading to cavitation. Make sure to fill the reservoir to the proper level and ensure the oil supply to the motor is adequate and the lines are unobstructed. Another cause may be air trapped in the system lines or motor. In this case, ensure system lines and components are purged of air. Also, a loose or incorrect shaft coupling or misaligned shafts could be the reason. So, ensure the correct coupling is used and fits properly on the shaft, and that the shafts are properly aligned. Finally, viscosity above acceptable limits can result in cavitation. Replace the hydraulic oil with the appropriate fluid for the operating conditions.
