Do you have a question about the Oster Deluxe 4715 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Oster Deluxe Multi-Use Rice Cooker (models 4715, 4717, 4721) is a versatile kitchen appliance designed for cooking rice and steaming vegetables. It features a non-stick inner pot, a steamer tray, and a user-friendly interface with a cooking switch and indicator lights. The appliance is designed for household use and operates on 120V and 127V markets, featuring a polarized alternating current plug for safety.

Function Description:

The primary function of this appliance is to cook rice automatically. Users can measure raw rice using the provided 160 ml measuring cup and add the appropriate amount of water to the inner pot. Once the cooking switch is activated, the red cooking indicator light illuminates, signifying that the cooking process has begun. Upon completion of the cooking cycle, the cooker automatically switches to a "keep warm" function, indicated by a yellow light, maintaining the rice at an optimal serving temperature. This "keep warm" function will remain active until the unit is unplugged from the wall outlet. The cooker also features a heat preservation process that reactivates if the rice temperature drops below a preprogrammed setting, illuminating the red cooking indicator light again.

Beyond rice cooking, the appliance also serves as a steamer. The included steamer tray allows users to steam vegetables, which helps retain more nutrients compared to boiling or baking, while preserving their bright color. The steaming process involves placing vegetables in the steamer tray, positioning it in the inner pot with water, and activating the cooking switch. The cooking time for steaming is manually monitored, and additional water can be added if a longer steaming cycle is desired.
