Installation of the OTS Ear/Mic Assembly

The GUARDIAN Full-Face Mask

1. Locate the communications port on the
right side of the mask. Unscrew the fasten-
ing nut from the plug counterclockwise and
remove. The plug is then easily taken out
from the inside of the mask.
2. Loosen the fastening nut on the micro-
phone/push-to-talk (PTT) module of the ear/
mic assembly counterclockwise so that there
is space between the fastening nut and the
base of the module.
3. Insert the microphone/push-to-
talk (PTT) module into the mask’s
right communications port. The
nickel microphone wires may need
to be bent slightly to install.
4. Continue inserting the micro-
phone/PTT module into the com-
munications port. The lip of the
mask should go over the base of the
module and rest between the base
and the fastening nut.
5. The fastening nut is then turned
clockwise until tight against the
mask. Make sure the cable align-
ment of the OTS Ear/Mic Assembly
is similar to the photo above.

Prepare Mask Communications Port

Locate port, unscrew fastening nut counterclockwise, and remove plug from inside the mask.

Prepare Ear;Mic Module Fastening

Loosen the fastening nut on the microphone/PTT module counterclockwise to create space.

Insert Microphone Module

Insert the microphone/PTT module into the mask's right communications port, bending wires if necessary.

Seat Module and Mask Lip

Ensure the mask lip seats over the module base, between the base and the fastening nut.

Secure Ear;Mic Module

Tighten the fastening nut clockwise against the mask, ensuring proper cable alignment.

Position Microphone Internally

Carefully position the microphone within 1/4" of the diver's lips inside the mask.

Route Earphone Cable

Tuck the left earphone cable into the groove between the mask visor and frame.

Attach Earphone Holders to Straps

Insert temple and chin mask straps through the top and bottom slots of earphone holders.

Insert and Secure Earphone

Insert the directional earphone into the holder, securing the snap with the cable positioned below.

Final Ear;Mic Assembly Fit

Completed installation; position earphone holders back for strap tightening before final adjustment.
